The Faculty of Engineering, at Ain Shams University, celebrated the graduation of Batch No. (68) in the presence of Prof. Omar Al-Husseini, Dean of the Faculty, Dr. David Tann, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering at the University of East London, the main partner for granting dual degrees for international programmes, Prof. Amr Shaat, Vice Dean of the Faculty for Graduate Studies and Research, Prof. Ahmed Al-Sabbagh, Vice Dean of the Faculty for Education and Student Affairs, Prof. Akram Farwa, Vice Dean of the Faculty for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, Prof. Abdel Qawi Khalifa, Minister of Utilities and former Governor of Cairo, Prof. Hisham Tamraz, former Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, Prof. Muhammad Al-Husseini Al-Toukhi, former Vice President of the University for Education and Student Affairs, and a group of distinguished faculty staff, parents and students.
In his speech, Prof. Omar Al-Husseini, Dean of the Faculty, congratulated the graduates, also parents who made a great effort over the past years so that their children would be graduates of the Faculty of Engineering, at Ain Shams University, which is considered one of the best engineering faculties in Egypt and at the regional level, pointing out that the students of the Faculty of Engineering are ambassadors for the faculty, at the local, regional and international levels.
His Excellency stressed that a graduate of the Faculty of Engineering, at Ain Shams University is the first in demand in the labor market, whether locally or regionally. Stressing that the accumulated experiences the students have gained will benefit them when they enter the labor market.
He added that the Faculty of Engineering has graduated many generations of distinguished people who have benefited their country over the years, including 2 prime ministers, more than 15 ministers, many governors, and many heads of local and international bodies and companies.
Prof. Omar Al-Husseini, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, concluded his speech, explaining that all of the Faculty ’s programs are accredited locally and some internationally, such as the CIAT certificate and the ABET certificate, which is the highest level of international accreditation for the first time at the level of public universities.
The ceremony witnessed the honoring of 600 male and female faculty graduates and 1,800 of their families, whether from international or specialized programs. The faculty choir also performed several singing acts, and the celebration included numerous artistic and performance shows.
