Honors from the Council of the Faculty of Engineering

The Council of the Faculty of Engineering, at Ain Shams University in its session held on September 18, 2023, headed by Prof. Omar Mohamed Al-Husseini, Dean of the Faculty, and in the presence of Prof. Ahmed Mohamed Munib Al-Sabbagh, Vice Dean of the Faculty for Education and Student Affairs, Prof. Amr Abdel Salam Shaat, Vice Dean of the Faculty for Postgraduate Studies and Research Affairs, and Prof. Akram. Farouk Mohamed, Vice Dean of the Faculty for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, members of the Faculty Council, honored students of the choral team and the faculty music team, and those who achieved advanced positions in the Grand Competition 2023 of Ain Shams University.

The ASU ASHRAE Team was also honored for winning first place locally and regionally in the American Heating, Refrigerating, and Air Conditioning Society's global competition (The ASHRAE Student Design Competition 2023).

The Council also honored the faculty staff who received the Ain Shams University Appreciation and Encouragement Awards for the year 2022 AD and the faculty staff who received the State Awards for the year 2022 AD.

Dr. Hisham Omran, Assistant Professor in the Department of Electronics and Communications Engineering and recipient of the prestigious UNESCO-Fozan International Prize for Encouraging Young Scientists in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM), was also honored.

The Council also honored the faculty’s Communications Systems Program team with the program obtaining international academic accreditation ABET as the first accredited program at an Egyptian public university.

The Ain Shams University racing team, which won first place in the 2023 Formula Student Competition in England, was also honored in the overall (overall score) design, manufacturing, cost, and marketing plan.
