The activities of the second session, entitled Women's Issues between Reality and Aspiration, a comparison between Egyptian law and International laws of the Second Scientific Conference of Anti-Violence Units at Ain Shams University

Within the activities of the eleventh annual international conference of Ain Shams University, under the title "Knowledge Economy... For Better Life", under the auspices of Prof. Mahmoud El-Meteini, President of Ain Shams University, Prof. Abdel Fattah Saoud, Vice President for Student Service Affairs, Prof. Ayman Saleh, Vice President for Graduate Studies, Prof. Ghada Farouk, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development, under the supervision of Prof. Hind Al-Hilali, Executive Director of the Women's Support and Anti-Violence Unit, Ain Shams University, Prof. Mohamed Safi, Dean of the Faculty of Law, Ain Shams University, Chairman of the session, Prof. Rasha Ramadan, Undersecretary of the Energy Committee, Member of the Egyptian Parliament, Counselor Ahmed El-Naggar, Legal Adviser at the National Council for Women, President of the Court of Appeal.

Speakers and participants in the sessions were: Prof. Ghufran Helal, Assistant Professor of Public International Law, Assistant Dean for Student and Graduate Affairs, and Development and Quality Affairs, Faculty of Law, University of Jordan, Prof. Suhair Safwat, Professor of Social Theory, Faculty of Education, Ain Shams University, Dr. Shahnaz Atlam, Lecturer of International Law, Faculty of Law, Ain Shams University, Dr. Yousri Shaaban, a teacher of civil law at the Faculty of Law, Ain Shams University, opened the session with Prof. Mohamed Safi, Dean of the Faculty of Law, explaining that violence against women constitutes a violation of human rights and fundamental freedoms and impedes or eliminates women’s enjoyment of these rights and fundamental freedoms in protecting and promoting these rights and freedoms in situations violence against Woman.

He pointed out that violence against women is a manifestation of unequal strong relations between men and women throughout history, which led to the dominance of men over women and their practice of discrimination against them and preventing their full advancement. Enjoying, on an equal basis with men, all human rights and basic freedoms and protecting these rights and freedoms in the political, economic, social, cultural and civil fields.

Representative Rasha Ramadan, Undersecretary of the Energy Committee in the Egyptian Parliament, explained the role of the Legislative Council in combating violence against women in light of the new laws.

Counselor Ahmed Al-Nagar, legal adviser to the National Council for Women and president of the Court of Appeal, shed light on targeted laws that support women's rights and oppose all means of violence, especially the harassment law and the exposure law that have been activated.

A. indicated. Dr.. Hind Al-Hilali, Director of the Women's Support and Anti-Violence Unit, with the role of the Council's support and legal advice in training in the Women's Support and Anti-Violence Unit on how to deal with cases involving violence. The trainings were provided by prosecutors in the Ministry of Justice.

On the sidelines of the paper posts, the following participated: Prof. Beatrice Lazero, Professor of Comparative Law and Dean of the Faculty of Law at the French University, participated with a paper on French and Japanese law in the protection and empowerment of Japanese women, Prof. Ghufran Hilal, Assistant Professor of Public International Law, Assistant Dean for Student and Graduate Affairs, and Development and Quality Affairs, Faculty of Law, University of Jordan, participated with a paper on the implications of the historical heritage of local legislation on women's rights in Jordan, Prof. Suhair Safwat, Professor of Social Theory, Faculty of Education, Ain Shams University, with a paper on institutional anomie and cybercrime, d. Shahnaz Atlam, Lecturer of International Law, Faculty of Law, Ain Shams University, with a paper on women's rights in the light of the Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination against Women, Dr. Yousra Shaaban, a teacher of civil law at the Faculty of Law, Ain Shams University, and a member of the Legislative Committee of the National Council for Women, presented a paper on the principle of prohibiting discrimination in the labor law.

In conclusion, Prof. Hind Al-Hilali, Director of the Women and Anti-Violence Unit, honored the attendees and speakers, and highlighted the supportive role of the National Council for Women.
