Celebration of the Faculty of Nursing on World Diabetes Day

The Faculty of Nursing at Ain Shams University organized a celebration on the occasion of World Diabetes Day, under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Meteini, President of the University, Prof. Dr. Ghada Farouk, Acting Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development, Prof. Dr. Sahar Moussa, Dean of the Faculty, and the supervision of Prof. Dr. Hayam Refaat, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development, and the rapporteur of the celebration of a runway Prof. Dr. Suhair Mukhaimer at the college, in the presence of faculty staff, teaching assitants, and students.

Prof. Dr. Moussa welcomed the audience, stressing that the goal of the celebration is to develop diabetic nursing to enhance the quality of care, cooperation, and innovation in the field of diabetic nursing research, in addition to creating advanced practice opportunities through new tools, and how to deal with difficult nursing situations in real cases of diabetic patients.

Prof. Dr. Hayam Refaat explained that the day includes several axes such as the quality of care for a diabetic patient, how to create new contacts in the field of nursing research for a diabetic patient, knowledge of advanced nursing practice, and how to deal with difficult nursing situations for cases.

On the sidelines of the day, several activities were held, such as providing psychological counseling through Dr. Huda Sayed Muhammad. Prof. Dr. Amal Fathy reproductive counseling, and also organized Prof. Dr. Eman Abdel Fattah, a medical convoy to measmeasuresre and sugar and provide advice to avoid their occurrence.
