The Dean of the Faculty of Girls inaugurates the free book fair at the Faculty

Prof. Dr. Amira Youssef, Dean of the Faculty of Girls, inaugurated the free book fair at the Faculty of Girls, Ain Shams University, under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Meteini, President of the University, Prof. Dr. Ghada Farouk, Acting Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, and Prof. Dr. Amira Youssef, Dean of the Faculty of Girls and Prof. Heba Barakat, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development.

During the opening, Dr. Amira stressed the importance of the book in raising and enhancing the level of knowledge awareness so that reading would be available to all segments of society in order to achieve the main goal, which is to provide the opportunity for everyone to acquire books and develop their reading habit.

The Dean of the Faculty of Girls added that the exhibition is an important opportunity to give the book more value, as the book is benefited several times by involving the community in helping the needy, and helping the needy in acquiring books for free. It also stimulates the dissemination of the culture of donation and reading, and the exhibition comes within the framework of the Faculty's interest in forming a reading community and spreading the culture of solidarity in the university community and based on the social responsibility that the Faculty adopts among its students.

Prof. Dr. Heba Berkan said that the exhibition includes a large collection of books offered free of charge to students, with the aim of encouraging them to learn, peruse, and continuous reading, which would provide the individual with more experience, culture, broad-mindedness, and acceptance of the other, pointing to the importance of exhibitions in providing diverse books in various fields in a way that encourages the interest in reading because of its role in developing knowledge and building the personality of female students.

The exhibition included a large number of books, nearly 300 books, donated by faculty members of various cultural and religious aspects. The students expressed their admiration for the exhibition and demanded that it be repeated.
