The President of Ain Shams University added, during his speech, that the Egyptian health system succeeded in addressing the Corona pandemic, and had a great role in eliminating the C virus, stressing its success in the serious tests that health systems are exposed to, represented by pandemics and epidemics.

The President of Ain Shams University also saluted the workers in the pharmaceutical sector in Egypt for their efforts in filling the gaps and providing high-quality, safe, and effective medicine, especially during the Corona pandemic and the provision of Hepatitis C drugs, saying: “It was necessary for us to meet and discuss the current and future challenges and problems that face This sector is suffering from it and that we all gather as experts, officials and decision-makers to provide all means of support for medicine in Egypt… A salute of appreciation and reverence to all medical workers in all sectors of the state, whether in the preventive sector, basic care, government and university hospitals, for their historic role in addressing the Corona pandemic, which made them They are called the White Army.

The President of Ain Shams University explained that the conference represents a huge and influential gathering in creating a clear vision for a strong, stable pharmaceutical market that is able to compete globally in line with the comprehensive vision of the new republic in Egypt based on achieving self-sufficiency in everything, and the Egyptian medicine comes at the top of the priorities because it is a component As a president in the health care system in the new republic, this conference was launched.

He added that it was an honor to chair this conference for 3 consecutive sessions, since its inception in 2019 through a generous invitation from the Al-Ahram Foundation, which pleased me with its great importance, adding that during the preparatory sessions for the conference this year, I made sure that all participants are owners of a national vision that aims for realistic and achievable solutions. to implement.

The President of Ain Shams University also expressed his hope to raise the competitiveness of Egyptian medicine, reduce production costs and raise quality to its highest levels, not only in order to meet all local needs, which is a matter of national security, but also to increase exports to unprecedented rates, and this was emphasized in The conference, noting that the conference sessions are exposed to the importance of attracting foreign investments and the drug market to localize the rapidly developing non-traditional drug industry, which is the manufacture of biological medicines and vaccines of various types, in addition to the long-awaited manufacture of raw materials, noting that in this regard I note the actual start In some Egyptian factories, there was a visit a few days ago by the Minister of Health and his Saudi counterpart to one of these factories.

The President of Ain Shams University said that the conference is in its third edition, spanning two days, with 52 speakers, all of whom are experts in all relevant sectors and the circulation of the drug market in Egypt. El-Meteini also stressed the importance of holding the conference under the auspices of the Al-Ahram Foundation, which is an important and ongoing event on an annual basis, with its fourth session being held next year. important.
