The Faculty of Al-Alsun celebrates the Spanish Cultural Day and showcases its students’ linguistic and artistic skills in the presence of the ambassadors of Spain and Latin America

Under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Metini, President of Ain Shams University, Prof. Dr. Salwa Rashad, Dean of the Faculty of Al-Alsun at Ain Shams University, opened the activities of the Spanish Cultural Day, in the presence of a group of ambassadors and representatives of Latin American and Spanish-speaking countries, Prof. Dr. Mohamed Al-Saghir, Head of the Spanish Department of the Faculty, Prof. Dr. Youmna Azmy, assistant professor in the department and rapporteur of the cultural committee of the Faculty and the organization of the cultural day, and a group of faculty members and the supporting staff, and students of the Faculty.

         
   
         

During her speech, Prof. Dr. Salwa Rashad, Dean of the Faculty, said that the Faculty seeks to continuously develop its courses to keep pace with the labor market, and work to activate joint study programs with various universities of the world to internationalize the educational process.

         
   
         

She explained that the Faculty of Al-Alsun at Ain Shams University is the window of the Egyptian state to the world, with its human cadres capable of entering into global cultures, not just languages; And transferring it to the Egyptian state, as well as carrying out the process of exporting Egyptian civilization and culture to various countries of the world.

Prof. Dr. Mohamed Al-Saghir, Head of the Spanish Language Department, said that organizing the activities of the Spanish Cultural Day at the Faculty works to consolidate cultural relations between Egypt and the countries of the world who speak the Spanish language.

Prof. Dr. Yomna Azmy, after welcoming the guests, said that one of the objectives of this celebration is to showcase the talents of the department's students in the Spanish language to reflect their love for the Spanish language. She explained that a variety of paragraphs and talents were chosen.

The celebration witnessed many lyrical, artistic and theatrical segments in Spanish, where the students screened an Egyptian movie about the most important tourist attractions in Egypt in Spanish with the aim of promoting tourism in Egypt in front of ambassadors and representatives of Latin American countries. The students also reviewed their singing skills by using the Spanish language to perform a number of songs. The students of the department also presented a theatrical performance in Spanish about the importance of peace. The students of the department also dubbing a segment of the most famous cartoon series in Egypt “Bakkar” in Spanish, in addition to some poetry recitation and guitar playing, in addition to a screen translation of the film. The Venezuelan "Blue Apple Tree", and an art exhibition of paintings and handicrafts presented by the Venezuelan Embassy was opened.
