Ain Shams University students win advanced places in the Universities Chess Championship

Under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Metini, President of Ain Shams University, and Prof. Dr. Abdel-Fattah Saoud, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, the university students participated in the chess tournament organized by the Ministries of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Youth and Sports.

Where the university students won the second place by male students’ team and the third place by female students’ team.

Student Mark Yasser also won the second place in the individual competition.

The tournament was held with the participation of 23 Egyptian universities, and the total number of participants was 44 female students and 24 male students represented various Egyptian universities.

It is noteworthy that the participation of Ain Shams University students comes under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Tamer Rady, Advisor to the Vice President for Education and Student Affairs for Student Activities and Mr. Muhammad Al-Khatib, Assistant Secretary for Education and Student Affairs, and Mr. Mohamed Al-Sharkawi, Director General of the General Administration of Youth Welfare, Captain Mohamed Hassan, Director of Sports Activity, and Mr. Salem Ahmed, Director of Social Activities.
