Cooperation between Ain Shams University and Sana'a University

Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Metini, President of Ain Shams University, received Prof. Dr. Abdel Hakim Al-Sharjaby, President of Sana’a University of the sisterly State of Yemen, within the framework of cooperation between the two universities in the field of education and scientific research between Egypt and Yemen, and this was in the presence of Prof. Dr. Abdel Fattah Saoud, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, and Prof. Dr. Shahira Samir, Executive Director of the International Relations and Academic Cooperation Sector at Ain Shams University and Vice Dean of the Faculty of Medicine for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, Prof. Dr. Mostafa Refaat, Director of the International Cooperation Department and Vice Dean of the Facultyof Engineering for Education and Student Affairs, Prof. Dr. Mona Abdel Aal, Director of the Education Development Department at Ain Shams University, the Yemeni cultural advisor, Prof. Dr. Mohammed Ahmed Al-Abadi.

The visit comes as an extension of previous visits and a strong history between the two universities. Dr. Mahmoud El-Metini, President of Ain Shams University, expressed his happiness to cooperate with Sana'a University, regarding blended education and postgraduate studies.

El-Metini stressed that Ain Shams University welcomes all Yemeni students and is ready to provide all assistance that facilitates these students’ ways to study at the university.

On his part, Prof. Dr. Abdul Hakim Al-Sharjabi expressed his happiness in meeting with Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Metini, President of Ain Shams University, praised Ain Shams and described it as a prestigious university that has a lot of experience and a long history in the field of education and scientific research, in addition to its distinguished ranking among international universities.

Al-Sharjabi stressed that Sana’a University seeks to develop its educational system, whether with regard to university education and blended education or with regard to graduate studies and scientific research and pointed out that Sana’a University has come out with distinguished building agreements with Ain Shams University and will soon be converted from mere protocols to executive work on the ground Reality.
