Vice President of Ain Shams University participates in "Activating the Role of Civil Work Organizations in Addressing the Population Problem" conference

In the interest of Ain Shams University to play its role in facing the population issue, which is one of the most important societal problems, Prof. Dr. Hesham Tamraz, Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development, at the conference “Activating the Role of Civil Work Organizations in Addressing the Population Problem” under the auspices of Dr. The Egyptian Family Planning Association, in the presence of Prof. Dr. Jihan Rajab, Advisor to the Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development, and Dr. Ashour Omari, head of the Adult Education Authority, and several parliament members, representatives of NGOs and institutions, and those interested in the population issue participated in the conference's activities.

It is worth noting that the population increase in Egypt is one of the fastest rates of population growth in the world, and that would have a significant impact on natural resources, especially water and energy, in addition to the dire consequences that it may have, including: a decrease in the standard of living for individuals in the country, the collapse of public utilities as a result of increased pressure on it and insufficient investments needed to renew and expand it, in addition to the spread of poverty, the high crime rate, family disintegration and other social effects.

The Grand Mufti of the Republic, Prof. Dr. Shawky Allam, emphasized in his speech that Islam has guided the endeavor to improve the lives of all human beings, and that the demographic issue has a significant negative material, physical and moral impact on parents, children and society. In order to address the population increase, organized civil work eliminates this problem from its roots and supports the efforts of societal stability in our country and saves us from many social problems and economic losses, in addition to what leads to it in advancing the wheel of development and economic reform that brings prosperity to peoples and individuals.

It is worth noting that the Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs Sector at Ain Shams University has developed a plan to develop students' awareness of the population problem by emphasizing the following:

The university has graduated many graduates who are future makers.

The university's ability to present conferences, seminars and programs related to developing awareness of the population problem.

The university has trained and qualified educational staff with experience in transferring and communicating information to its owners in an effective manner.

Where the university represents an absolute institution to develop the awareness of its students in a comprehensive manner in line with the needs of society, development goals and the sustainable development line set by the state in all areas of life.
