A workshop for consultants and specialists in the Anti-Violence and Harassment Unit at the university to develop their skills

The Anti-Violence and Harassment against Women Unit at Ain Shams University, headed by Prof. Hind Al-Hilali, organized an interactive training workshop for the unit's consultants and specialists to develop their skills in dealing with the cases received by the unit, in this workshop, Prof. Dr. Hisham Ramez, Professor of Psychiatry and Chairman of the Psychological Support Committee at the university gave a lecture.

During the workshop, Prof. Dr. Hisham Ramez, the way to deal with the cases that are received and the steps that make you feel safe to express freely what you have been exposed to, and how to ask questions after preparing the person to give answers by broadcasting messages of reassurance.

He also touched on the skills needed by the person receiving cases and how to use them effectively. He also dealt with methods of psychological evaluation and discovering the negative thoughts of the person who has been subjected to harassment or violence or his desire to harm himself or others and how to deal with those negative thoughts, he also talked about ways to discover the sincerity of a person and verify the truth of what he claims through psychological tests.

         
   
         

On her part, Prof. Dr. Hind Al-Hilali confirmed the unit's keenness to raise the level of its employees through training courses and workshops that it organizes constantly to ensure the provision of a service of the highest level of professionalism, pointing out that the unit has been equipped with places that work to give the person who has been subjected to harassment or violence a sense of psychological comfort, which It helps him to express what he was exposed to freely, assuring that cases are received through a trained work team, and in the event that violence or harassment is confirmed within the university, disciplinary measures are taken through a disciplinary board.

She added that the unit provides psychological support to the person who has been subjected to violence or harassment, as well as courses for the person who has committed the harassment to modify and correct his behavior.
