Ain Shams University mourns Mrs. Gehan El-Sadat, the wife of the late President Mohamed Anwar El-Sadat

Ain Shams University, headed by Prof. Dr. Mahmoud Al-Metini, the university vice presidents, deans of the faculties; faculty staff, administrators, and students expressed their sincere condolences and sympathy on the death of the late - God Almighty - Mrs. Gehan El-Sadat, wife of the late President Mohamed Anwar El-Sadat, former President of the Republic, hero of war and peace.

Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Metini, President of Ain Shams University, said that Mrs. Gehan El-Sadat presented a role model for Egyptian women, and was a witness to a significant historical stage in the life of our dear homeland, Egypt.

She also had great hands and made great contributions in serving civil society, advancing women's rights, supporting orphans, rehabilitating disabled fighters, and other important contributions and roles to serve the country.

The administration of Ain Shams University expresses its sincere condolences and sympathy to the family of the late, calling on the Lord - the Almighty - to bless the deceased with the vastness of his mercy and to inspire her family, relatives and lover’s patience and solace.
