Four sessions in the activities of the first day of the Ninth Annual International Conference on Hematology and Marrow Transplantation

The activities of the first day of the Ninth Annual International Conference of the Egyptian Society of Hematology and Marrow Transplantation, affiliated to the Hematology and Marrow Transplant Unit, Faculty of Medicine, Ain Shams University, witnessed four sessions in addition to the opening session witnessed by Prof. Dr. Muhammad Awad Tag Al-Din, Advisor to the President of the Republic for Health Affairs, this was stated by Prof. Dr. Mohamed Mahmoud Moussa, Professor of Hematology, Internal Medicine and Bone Marrow Transplantation, Faculty of Medicine, Ain Shams University, and President of the Conference.

He added that the first session dealt with the new in chronic lymphocytic leukemia, headed by Prof. Dr. Essam Abdel Wahed, Head of the Department of Hematology and Marrow Transplantation, and the participation of Prof. Dr. Hussein Khaled, Prof. Dr. Mohammed Al-Azzazi, Prof. Dr. Sameh Shamaa, Prof. Dr. Nevin Nabil, Prof. Dr. Magdi Al-Dahshan.

The second session dealt with lymphoma during which Prof. Dr. Essam Abdel Wahed, Prof. Dr. Hanan Hamed, Prof. Dr. Ezzat El-Sobky, Prof. Dr. Lubna Ezz Al-Arab, Prof. Dr. Sabri Shuaib and Prof. Dr. Mohamed Nasr delivered specch.

The third session dealt with controversial views in blood diseases, in which Prof. Dr. Maha Al-Zamiti, Prof. Dr. Nahed Shuaib, Prof. Dr. Hoda Gadallah, Prof. Dr. Atef Taha, Prof. Dr. Samir Shehata and Prof. Dr. Hana Fathy participated in this session.

The fourth session revolved around melanocytic tumors, in which Prof. Dr. Gehan Kamal, Prof. Dr. Magdy Al-Akyabi, Prof. Dr. Soha Ezz Al-Arab, Prof. Dr. Manal Hashem, Prof. Dr. Ibrahim Youssef, Prof. Dr. Wala Ali El Selkawy.

The activities of the second and final day of the conference will witness a number of sessions, in addition to coming up with a set of important recommendations in the field of hematology and bone marrow transplantation.
