Ain Shams University advanced 19 places in the US NEWS ranking compared to last year

Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Matini, President of Ain Shams University, announced the university’s progress in the news US ranking issued for the year 2021, as the university ranked 648 in the world compared to 667 last years, which means that the university advanced 19 places.

 He emphasized that the university has clearly appeared in the fields of classification in advanced centers alike, as follows:

In the field of drugs and toxins, the university achieved the 152nd place, and in the field of electronics and electronic engineering it achieved the position 371, while in the field of clinical medicine it ranked 410th, and in the field of physics Ain Shams University ranked 449 globally, and the field of engineering ranked 467, and in the field of chemistry the university came in the position 608.

On her part, Prof. Dr. Shahira Samir, Executive Director of the International Cooperation and Academic Exchange Sector at the University, that this classification depends on the famous database CLARIVATE SCIENCE OF WEB ANALYTICS, pointing out that this classification is based on several criteria based on the academic success of the university, foremost among which is the reputation of scientific and regional research published every year, its impact and volume International cooperation and the number of doctoral degrees awarded during the year in each university.

She added that the higher management of the university was keen to advance progress in the international classifications in all sectors, colleges and institutes of the university, which in turn was reflected in the university’s progress in those classifications.

Dr. Ahmed Al-Banna, Director of the University's International Classification Office, stated that the university's progress in the NEWS US classification comes from the fruits of the support that the office's team has received recently at the level of various sectors of the university.
