The University archeological mission to Arab Al-Hesn announces new discoveries

Prof. Dr. Abdul Wahab Ezzat, President of Ain Shams University, Prof. Dr. Mamdouh Al-Damati, head of Ain Shams University's archeological mission in Arab Al-Hesn area, has uncovered a number of important new archaeological discoveries that have emerged from the work of the third season of the archeological expedition in Arab Al-Hesn area in Al-Matareya.

The hall of the celebration of the coronation of King Ramses II was discovered, which dates back to the Ramesses and the celebration of the "Love of the Dam" or which was dedicated to celebrating the restoration of the power of the king and his youth, was found to be the second royal palace for the Jubilee feast.

A large grain storage tractor was found, as well as a set of pottery, scales and jars, indicating that this area was a commercial and economic zone dating back to the Third Transition.

Prof. Dr. Abdel Wahab Ezzat praised the efforts of Ain Shams University and all its members. Prof. Dr. Mamdouh Al-Damatti confirmed that we have evidence of the existence of a booth for the worship of Ptah and we hope to detect them. Pointing out that the site of Arabs fort is part of the large area of the temple, "Ra - Horakti" a vast area equivalent to 4 times the area of the temple Karnak, extending from the obelisk to the mission site in Arab Al-Hesn, but it has been subjected to urban encroachment.
