Based on Ain Shams University's keenness to achieve excellence and competition, and as a continuation of Ain Shams University's leadership in the field of awards through young researchers and scientists at the university in various fields, and to benefit from the practical experience of recipients of prestigious awards, the University Awards Office, in cooperation with the electronic portal, continued its meetings and held its forty-sixth meeting for recipients of university awards, and held at the Networks and Information Technology Center at the university on August 22, 2023, under the supervision of Dr. Islam Hegazy, Executive Director of the Networks and Information Technology Center, Prof. Rasha Ismail, Director of the Electronic Portal, and Prof. Alaa Abdel Halim Farag, General Supervisor of the Awards Office at the University.

The Awards Office hosted Dr. Salsabil Amin Yassin Al-Rujaili, a teacher at the Faculty of Computer and Information Sciences at the university, who won the university’s encouragement award in the field of advanced technological sciences in medical sciences for the year 2022, where her research focused on the applications of artificial intelligence and its use in analyzing medical images, and many researches have been published in specialized international journals.
It is worth noting that Dr. Salsabil was awarded the second-best Ph.D. thesis in the field of artificial intelligence from the Association of Arab Universities in 2021.
Her Excellency also supervises many graduation projects, which amounted to about nine graduation projects in the field of machine learning and deep learning. She also supervises many master's theses in the field of voice recognition and machine learning, as well as doctoral theses in the field of cybersecurity and image processing, and she is keen to participate in local and international conferences in the field of specialization.
Her Excellency emphasized the prominent role played by Ain Shams University in supporting young researchers in the completion of their scientific research, as well as rewards for international publication and support for applied projects, and she thanked the university administration for providing all forms of support and facilities in all aspects.
Her Excellency also presented a message to her fellow young researchers to work on the permanent renewal of research and initiate the work of new research in the field of specialization through careful reading and knowledge of what is new and keenness to attend seminars and international conferences to refine the scientific personality and benefit from the exchange of experiences with professors in the field of specialization.
It is worth noting that the administration of Ain Shams University pays great attention to its youth and scholars, as it works to promote the spirit of academic excellence, innovation, and scientific research in various fields, with the aim of achieving its comprehensive mission of achieving excellence and leadership.
