Under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Meteini, President of Ain Shams University, Prof. Dr. Ayman Saleh, Vice President for Postgraduate Studies and Research, concluded the activities of the "Qualifying for the IELTS Test" workshop, which was organized by the Delegate Welfare Office at Ain Shams University in cooperation with the Graduate Studies Sector at the Faculty of Graduate Studies and Environmental Research and the British Council.
The workshop began with a speech delivered by Prof. Dr. Reham Refaat, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Graduate Studies and Environmental Research for Graduate Studies and Research, on the importance of exam preparation as one of the important requirements for applying for scholarships and scholarships to study abroad.
Also Dr. Abdullah Sami discussed the various types of scholarships and grants offered by the state and the test rate for each of them.
Then Dr. Osama Al-Baily, IELTS trainer and expert at the British Council, dealt with the explanation of the various sources and testing services provided by the Cultural Council, strategies for preparing for the exam in its four parts, and reviewed the types of common questions in the exam.
During the workshop, the lecturer presented training examples for the different parts of the test to increase the different skills of the participants in the workshop.
In the end, the participants presented a different set of questions dealing with different aspects of the test and the skills needed to obtain the rates required for scholarships and grants.
The workshop lasted for 5 consecutive hours, amid an interactive atmosphere of the participants, due to the importance of testing among faculty staff and their assistants.
The workshop comes within the framework of Ain Shams University's keenness to qualify the faculty staff and their assistants at the university for international representation at all levels of education and scientific research and to enhance the role of the graduate studies and research sector at the Faculty of Graduate Studies and Environmental Research in developing the skills of students and researchers and upgrading language and research skills that allow graduates to represent the university in all countries of the world.
Dr. Abdullah Sami, at the end of the workshop, referred to the monthly program for the workshop, including the next workshop in January at the Faculty of Commerce, Ain Shams University.
