A workshop for the integration of children of determination and their participation in the green transition at the Faculty of Graduate Studies for Childhood

The Faculty of Graduate Studies for Childhood at Ain Shams University and the Center for the Care of Children with Special Needs organized a workshop entitled "Integration of Children of Determination in the Green Transformation", under the auspices of Prof. Mahmoud El-Meteini, President of Ain Shams University, Prof. Ghada Farouk, Acting as Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development, Prof. Howayda Al-Gebali, Dean of the Faculty of Graduate Studies for Childhood, Prof. Ahmed Al-Kahki, Director of the Center for the Care of Children with Special Needs, in the presence of Dr. Manal Omar, Head of the Psychiatry Unit and Professor, Department of Pediatric Medical Studies, Prof. Nermin Ali, representative of the Quality Unit, organized by the Art Therapy Unit, and under the supervision of Dr. Amal Al-Hadidi, Head of the Art Therapy Unit, Dr. Sanaa Farag, Head of the Vocational Rehabilitation Unit, and with the participation of the Origami Unit and the Fun Team (Social Activities Team) in the center and the college, in coordination with researcher Mohamed Ezzat, researcher at the Graduate School of Childhood Studies, Department of Information and Children’s Culture, the events were held in the presence of 30 children of determination.

         
   
         

The workshop program included various activities, including drawing on glass, agriculture, coloring on bags, attaching beads, designing accessories, drawing on mugs, coloring stencils and mugs, designing origami shapes (the art of folding paper), and various motor activities, including tug of war, walking on a straight line, zigzag, and other motor activities.

Prof. Howayda Al-Gebali, Dean of the Faculty, and Prof. Ahmed Al-Kahki, Director of the Center, honored our children who won the athletics competitions (running - swimming - round) in the Egyptian Special Olympics, coordinated by Mrs. Ayat Eid, the clinical psychologist at the center, and certificates and awards were handed out to the children in appreciation of our children of determination.
