The Faculty of Agriculture celebrates new students and honors distinguished old students

With the start of the new academic year, the Faculty of Agriculture, Ain Shams University, celebrated the new students, in which Prof. Dr. Ahmed Galal, Dean of the Faculty, welcomed the new students accompanied by Prof. Dr. Hesham Al-Hariri, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs, and they witnessed the parade of families and student activities

In the presence of the heads of departments, Prof. Dr. Ahmed Refaat Khafaji, supervisor of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, and Prof. Dr. Atef Kamel, Eng. Awad Desouki Al-Banna, Director General of the Faculty, and Dr. Suzan Sanad, President of the Syndicate of Veterinarians in Cairo

In his speech, Prof. Dr. Ahmed Galal, Dean of the Faculty, expressed his great happiness at receiving new children to the Faculty and welcoming the guests from the attendees, representatives of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, heads of scientific departments and members of the teaching assistants.

Then His Excellency pointed out the importance of agriculture and that it is the backbone of any nation, as it is strategic security, and pointed to the role of the agricultural Facultys in achieving this and producing qualified graduates for the labor market.

Dr. Hesham Al-Hariri, the Vice Dean of the Faculty, welcomed the honorable attendees and indicated that the Faculty boasts valuable scientific platforms and that students should spare no effort in acquiring knowledge and that it is the way to raise the status of its owner and the prestigious position. As for the UMS system, it is for guidance, academic registration of courses, payment of expenses, requesting various services, and knowing the student’s result. Students should not confuse course registration on the ASU2LEARN platform and the UMS system.

In his speech, Dr. Ahmed Refaat Khafaji, supervisor of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, thanked and saluted Prof. Dr. Ahmed Galal, Dean of the Faculty and Prof. Dr. Hisham Al-Hariri, Vice Dean of the Faculty for hosting and removing obstacles. He called on the students of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine to make the effort because they are the first generation of the Faculty and some of them will bear its responsibility later.

Then came the word of Dr. Suszn Sanad, the captain of the Syndicate of Veterinarians in Cairo, who expressed her happiness for being in a great scientific edifice such as the Faculty of Agriculture, Ain Shams. She gave greetings and thanks to the honorable attendance and indicated that the students of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine have the good luck for being the first plant of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at Ain Shams University, and then the solo and group concert followed. The Faculty choir led by Mr. Yasser Suleiman, then honoring outstanding students in the Faculty and winners of advanced positions in activities.
