The Board of the Department of Surgery at the Faculty of Medicine honors the President and Vice-President for Postgraduate Studies and the Class of 1985 at the Faculty of Medicine

The Board of the Department of Surgery at Ain Shams University honored Prof. Mahmoud El-Metini, President of Ain Shams University, Prof. Ayman Saleh, Vice President for Graduate Studies and Research, Prof. Dr. Ashraf Omar, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Prof. Dr. Shahira Samir, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development, Prof. Heba Allah Said, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs, and a group of distinguished professors in appreciation of their efforts in serving medicine, patients and medical education.

The honor was witnessed by Prof. Dr. Hesham Tamraz, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development, Prof. Dr. Osama Mansour, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Medicine for Graduate Studies and Research, Prof. Dr. Samia Abdo, Deputy Director of University Hospitals and Director of Infection Control at Ain Shams University, Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Shafei, Secretary of the Board of Surgery and a group of faculty members and heads of departments.

In his speech, Dr. Mahmoud El-Matini, President of Ain Shams University, welcomed the attendance from inside and outside the university, and the great professors who had a prominent role in transferring their scientific and life experiences to the students of the Faculty of Medicine over the years, expressing his happiness to be on the board of the Department of Surgery, stressing that this department is of great merit to all graduates of the Faculty of Medicine.

Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Metini praised this generous gesture to honor the professors in appreciation of their role and giving, which contributed to raising the name of the Faculty of Medicine, Ain Shams University high.

Prof. Dr. Ashraf Omar, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine confirmed that the Department of Surgery is one of the most important departments of the Faculty of Medicine at Ain Shams University, and its distinguished professors have white hands on all students of the Faculty of Medicine, expressing his happiness to be in the midst of this distinguished gathering.

Prof. Dr. Khaled Jawdat, Head of the Departments of Surgery, explained that the honor was given to the retired surgical professors who were passed away, and the distinguished who had a prominent impact in this field, and the 1985 class was honored, headed by Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Metini, President of the University, Prof. Dr. Ashraf Omar, Dean of the Faculty and Prof. Dr. Ayman Saleh, Vice President of the University.
