Solar energy technology and its applications in sustainable development…a seminar at the Faculty of Education

Under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Hazem Rashid, Dean of the Faculty of Education, Ain Shams University, the faculty organized a public lecture entitled “Solar Energy Technology and Its Applications in Sustainable Development” for Prof. Dr. Hamdi Al-Ghitani, Dean of the Institute of Engineering Research and New and Renewable Energy, coordinated by Prof. Radwan Hammouda, Vice Dean for Community Service and Development environment, and Prof. Dr. Alaa El-Din Abdel Halim Farag, Head of the Physics Department, and the follow-up and preparation of Dr. Eman Mohamed Assem, director of the I hub center at the faculty, and Dr. Mamdouh Mohamed Abdel Aziz, student activity consultant.

The lecture was held at the faculty headquarters, in the presence of a large number of faculty members from the various departments of the faculty, students from the faculty and from Steam schools and other departments of education and a group of education men.

The importance of the lecture comes from the necessity of moving towards the use of renewable energy in order to reach sustainable development, as well as within the framework of the faculty’s keenness to upgrade the educational system and keep pace with the global trend of alternative energy and solar energy, and in an effort to spread awareness of the different uses of solar energy and energy technology. The new and renewable ones and their importance and how to use and employ technology for the optimal use of these energies.

The lecture concluded with many diverse questions and answers to them and recommendations that include the inevitability of new and renewable energies as an alternative to energy and the need for everyone to participate in reducing pollution and preserving the environment through the use of environmentally friendly energy sources.

At the end of the lecture, Prof. Dr. Hamdi Al-Ghitani was honored for his efforts in the field of new and renewable energy, and Professor Ahmed Abdel-Rasoul, the chief mathematics teacher at the High School for Excellence and the lecture coordinator was honored. Prof. Dr. Ahmed Al-Ghitani and the guests gave thanks and appreciation to the Faculty of Education and Ain Shams University for their remarkable efforts in Spreading scientific and cognitive awareness through activities related to community service, environmental development and all aspects of the integrated educational process.
