A memorial ceremony for Dr. Marina Roger at the Faculty of Environmental Studies and Research at Ain Shams University

The Faculty of Environmental Studies and Research at Ain Shams University organized a memorial ceremony for the late Dr. “Marina Roger”, a teacher of plant chemistry in the Department of Basic Environmental Sciences at the Faculty of Graduate Studies and Environmental Research, in the presence of Prof. Dr. Noha Samir Donia, Dean of the Faculty, Prof. Dr. Reham Refaat, Vice Dean for Graduate Studies and Research, and Dr. Hoda Helal Director of the "Be Green Unit" in the faculty, and Prof. Dr. Abdel Masih Semaan, the former Vice Dean of the Faculty, Reverend Luke Fayez, a priest in the Coptic Orthodox Church, Sheikh Abdel Khaleq Saleh Abdel Hafeez in front of the Al-Fath Mosque, and a group of professors at the Faculty who gave many words and exchanged their memories with the deceased.

         
   
         

In her speech to memorialize the deceased confirmed Prof. Dr. Samir Donia, Dean of the Faculty, forbade that the faculty had lost an irreplaceable part in the loss of Dr. Marina, who was an example to follow in ethics, hard work, a constant smile and simplicity. She offered condolences to the faculty and the family for her loss, which grieved many of her colleagues and professors.

Sheikh Abdel-Khaleq Saleh, in front of the Al-Fath Mosque, stressed the national unity of Egypt, and offered his sincere condolences to the family of the deceased, noting that all the heavenly religions share characteristics such as tolerance and urging patience.

         
   
         

The priest Luke Fayez gave a speech about patience at loss, affliction and faith, stressing that the departed can leave us only in the body, but they remain in the hearts and minds.

Dr. Marina Roger had previously held the position of teacher in the Department of Basic Sciences at the college and director of the International Publication Unit, in addition to being the Vice President of Control and Editorial Director of the College’s magazine and was an active member of the Quality Unit and the file of the Environmentally Friendly University and Green Matrix competition file.
