Ain Shams University celebrates October victories and the Egyptian naval championships
Ain Shams University opened its cultural and artistic season for the new academic year under the auspices of Prof. Dr.. Mahmoud El-Matini, President of the University, where the Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs Sector at the University, in cooperation with the Faculty of Archeology, organized a symposium entitled: October Victories Day of the Egyptian Navy, as part of the celebration of the glorious October victories.
The seminar was hosted by Major General A. H Hamdi Bakhit, a member of the Defense and National Security Committee in the House of Representatives, Major General Ahmed Abdullah, Captain Omar Ezz El-Din, Captain Nabil Abdel Wahab, and Captain Mahmoud Saad.
A confirmed. Dr.. Hisham Tamraz, Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, said that the aim of the symposium was to familiarize students with their history so that they could plan for the future. With resonant slogans, His Eminence emphasized that victory is possible and not impossible with planning and action.

Dr. Mamdouh Al-Damaty, Dean of the Faculty of Archeology and former Minister of Antiquities, said that the symposium is held to celebrate the anniversary of victory and the Egyptian Navy Day, explaining that the previous generation lived a difficult period after the defeat of 1967 and then the war of attrition until victory came in 1973, and during this period major events occurred that the modern generation does not know, explaining That there was a great struggle for Egypt to obtain its usurped land, and the young generation must realize that there are those who sacrificed their lives for the sake of the homeland.
