The Green Island Operetta at Ain Shams University

On the celebrations of the glorious October victories, the Department of Artistic Activity at the General Administration of Youth Welfare in cooperation with the Student Union, under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Minister of Higher Education, Prof. Dr. Abdel Wahab Ezzat, President of Ain Shams University, Prof. Dr. Nazmi Abdel Hamid, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development, and the Minister of Education and Student Affairs, Ain Shams University is organizing the Green Island Epic under the supervision of Mr. Samir Abdel Nasser, Secretary General of the University.

The operetta tells the star Brigadier Magdi Bishara victory in the famous Green Island battle during the war of attrition. Where he was repulsed and defeated the Israeli attack on the island with heavy losses. This was in the presence of Brigadier General Magdy Beshara and several leaders of the Armed Forces and the University, stated by Prof. Tamer Radhi, Advisor to the Higher Technical Committee. He added that the folklore, choir and music teams offered by the university students participate in the Operetta.

Mrs. Sahar Megahid, Director General of Youth Welfare, pointed out that the operetta was directed by Mohamed Zaki, musician Mahmoud Wahid, folklore Ahmed Samir, decor Mohamed Abul Hassan and lighting by Hassan Ahmed, next Wednesday at 17:00 at the theater of the General Administration of Youth Welfare.
