Ain Shams University honors the distinguished Faculty staff in international publishing

In a new tradition, Ain Shams University organized a celebration to honor distinguished faculty members in international publishing in the July 2018 batch, under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El Metini, President of Ain Shams University, and supervised by Prof. Dr. Abdel Nasser Sengab, Vice President of the University for Graduate Studies and Research.

Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Metini, President of Ain Shams University, explained that international publishing at Ain Shams University is a prerequisite for excellence in various fields of science that the university strives to achieve.

He stressed that international publishing has become of great importance to universities and research centers worldwide. He also highlighted the importance of encouraging scientific research between colleges and each other as well as departments within the same college as well as linking academic scientific research with the industrial, agricultural, investment community and multinational companies, noting the role of the IHub Center in adopting scientific research and assisting researchers in its application.

He added that international publishing has gained great importance as it has become a basic pillar and a factor of the most important basis for classifying universities globally, as funding for research projects in most parts of the world also depends on the number of published international researches for researchers and research groups.

Prof. Dr. Abdel Nasser Sengab, Vice President of the University for Graduate Studies and Research Affairs, said that the number of honorees has reached 280 honors from various faculties of the university, adding that this celebration will be held twice annually to honor distinguished publishers during the months of June and December of each year.

It is worth noting that the total number of honorees reached 280, distributed as follows: Faculty of Science 77, Faculty of Medicine 70, Faculty of Pharmacy 45, Faculty of Education 47, Faculty of Girls 16, Faculty of Engineering 13, Faculty of Agriculture 5, Faculty of Al-Alsun: 4, Faculty of Computers 2, and Faculty of Dentistry: 1.
