Prof. Dr. Abdel Nasser Sengab, Vice President of Ain Shams University for Graduate Studies and Research, Prof. Dr. Nazmi Abdul Hamid, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development met with a high-level Indonesian delegation headed by Prof. Dr. Debanot Mulliono, President of the University of Gujah Mada Indonesia, at the headquarters of the Zafaran Palace.
The meeting was attended by Prof. Dr. Dean of the Faculty of Education, Prof. Dr. Gamal Shakra, Former Director of the Middle East Research Center Prof. Dr. Hala Khalaf, Professor and Head of the History Department at the Faculty of Education and Director of the University Services Marketing Center and from the Indonesian side attended the Ambassador of the Republic of Indonesia in Cairo and Dean of the Faculty of Graduate Studies at the University of Gujah Mada, and the Under-Secretary of the Faculty of Cultural Sciences and Head of the Department of Islamic Economics.
Prof. Dr. Abdel Nasser Sengab pointed to the depth of relations between the two sides, which began since 2009, and reviewed the history of Ain Shams University as the third largest Egyptian public university, pointing out its progress in various international rankings.
Prof. Dr. Nazmi Abdel Hamid expressed the keenness of Ain Shams University to activate cooperation between the two sides, especially to take advantage of the specializations of the Indonesian side such as forestry, which began to receive attention at the level of the Egyptian state.
Prof. Dr. Debanot Mulliono said that the university sent 19 students to study the Arabic language diploma at the Faculty of Education, hoping to expand the base of cooperation to include the disciplines of medicine, pharmacy, tourism, science and Islamic economy.
The two sides affirmed their interest in expanding the base of student exchange, professors exchange and launching joint degrees.
