President of Ain Shams University confirms the continuation of the university development plan without disrupting the educational process

Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Metini, President of Ain Shams University, went in an inspection tour of the main campus, on the first day of the new academic year 2019/2020 in the presence of Prof. Dr. Abdel Nasser Sengab, Vice President for Graduate Studies and Research, Prof. Dr. Abdel Fattah Saud, Vice President of the University for Education and Student Affairs, Prof. Dr. Tamer Radi, Advisor to the Vice President for Education and Student Affairs and a group of deans and vice-deans of Faculties.

During the tour, Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Metini said that the university prepared for the new year with comprehensive renovations that included the faculties and the campus infrastructure and the development plan will continue throughout the academic year without confusing the educational process. He added that the new academic year will witness an intensification of educational seminars, student sports and artistic activities. A schedule of these activities has been prepared throughout the year centrally and in all faculties and institutes of the university.

Prof. Dr. Abdel Fattah Saud, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, explained that the university received 235 thousand students at different levels of education, pointing out that the sector has issued a directory of all the services needed by the student and urgent numbers in addition to the launch of a free electronic application called "Know your university" includes information about all the university faculties, study programs and more.

Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Metini also launched the cycling marathon and students participated in table tennis and speedball games, stressing the importance of students' interest in playing sports throughout the year in addition to academic excellence. He also inspected the mobile camp, which is held a number of workshops to train students on the implementation of some artistic handicrafts and how to set up tents and exhibition of student activities of plastic arts, praising the level of upscale students up to professionalism as well as exhibition simulation models, which will be presented during the new academic year Simulation models including the simulation model of the League of Arab States, the Security Council and the Council of Ministers.

He also visited the Exhibition of “For Egypt where” Central Family. This is in addition to visiting the Book Fair which includes more than ten thousand books in various fields, an exhibition for the anti-addiction fund and the medical services exhibition, which introduces the student to the mechanisms of obtaining medical services provided by the medical department. Weight, pressure and sugar are free.

The Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research opened the new academic year from inside the main campus of Ain Shams University and met with members of the University Council.

University celebrations are scheduled to last until October 8 under the slogan "We can do it".
