Listing of IWNW magazine, issued by the Faculty of Archaeology, in the DOAJ database

Under the patronage of Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zain El-Abedeen, the president of the university, Vice President of the University for Graduate Studies and Research, Prof. Hossam Tantawi, Dean of the Faculty of Archeology, and under the supervision of Prof. Ahmed Al-Shawki, Vice Dean of the Faculty for Graduate Studies and Research, Prof. Hassan Selim, editor-in-chief of the magazine, and Dr. Shaima Ahmed, Editorial Director, and Director of the Scientific Publishing Unit, IWNW Journal has been listed within the open access platform, Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ), which is one of the largest and most reliable open access platforms in the world and the Middle East, and adopts a quality system established in 2003 at Lund University, Sweden.

This step comes within the measures taken by the faculty

to publish the journal internationally and raise its evaluation and classification, as the global database DOAJ is very popular among researchers all over the world. It also helps in making greater use of and using the journal’s content from published research, which works to increase the number of Readers and authors.

The journal receives new research papers that have not been published before in English, German and French in: archaeology, history, architecture, arts, ancient linguistics, religion, museology, heritage conservation and restoration.
