The "Forum of Cultures” at the conclusion of the reception for students at Faculty of Al-Alsun for the academic year 2023/2024

The reception activities for new and old students for the academic year 2023/2024 were concluded at the Faculty of Al-Alsun, at Ain Shams University, under the patronage of Prof. Ghada Farouk, Acting President of the University, Prof. Abdel Fattah Saoud, Vice President of the University for Education and Student Affairs, Prof. Salwa Rashad, Dean of the Faculty, and supervised by Prof. Nasser Abdel-Aal, Vice Dean of the Faculty for Education and Student Affairs, where the Culture Forum Day was organized for the faculty departments, which included an exhibition for students containing the cultures of countries that speak the languages of the faculty departments.

During her tour of the Cultural Day activities, Prof. Salwa Rashad, Dean of the Faculty, affirmed that the Faculty of Al-Alsun at Ain Shams University includes 15 departments for most of the languages of the world, and its graduates are considered a national wealth capable of serving the nation in various aspects of life. The faculty continues to present its mission of preparing human cadres of professional translators to serve the Egyptian state since its inception during the reign of Muhammad Ali the Great, noting that today included the presentation of an important aspect, which is the cultures of other societies, as studying at the faculty is not limited only to receiving linguistic sciences, but rather integration. In the other’s culture, personality, and heritage, to reach the highest levels of conveying meanings before words alone.

She stressed that university life is different from life before it, and new students must quickly enter university life and participate in student events and activities that refine the translator’s personality and enhance his skills in professional practice in the labor market.
