An introductory seminar at the Faculty of Engineering for students who received the Sawiris Excellence Scholarship for the academic year 2023/2024)

On Tuesday, October 10, 2023, the Faculty of Engineering, at Ain Shams University, through the Faculty’s Office of International Cooperation, organized an introductory seminar for students who received the Sawiris Excellence Scholarship for the academic year 2023/2024, under the patronage of Prof. Omar Mohamed Al-Husseini, Dean of the Faculty, in the presence of Prof. Ahmed Mohamed Mounib Al-Sabbagh, Vice Dean of the Faculty for Education and Student Affairs, welcomed the students and congratulated them on obtaining the scholarship and encouraged them to continue applying because they will represent the Faculty of Engineering – at Ain Shams University in the labor market.

The meeting was also attended by Dr. Mohamed Ahmed Al-Banna, Deputy Director of International Bachelor’s Degree Intercredit Hours, along with the Faculty’s International Cooperation Office, represented by Dr. Noha Jamal Saeed, Coordinator of Scientific Exchange and Expatriates, and Dr. Engy Reda Al-Dammak, Coordinator of International Agreements and Alumni.

During the meeting, the students were introduced to the learning process within the Faculty and the types of international programs, and they were introduced to the advantages that the Faculty provides in terms of a dual degree, as well as how to maintain their educational level and develop themselves. The importance of this scholarship and its role in providing opportunities for these students to study in dual degree programs at the Faculty of Engineering, at Ain Shams University were praised.

In the end, Mr. Karim Shawar, representative of the Etijah Foundation, reviewed the conditions and duties for each student, male, and female, to adhere to the general rules of the scholarship, noting that the scholarship will provide all means to support students in the educational process.
