The Center of Innovation and Entrepreneurship at Ain Shams University hosts a simulation model of the ISESCO General Conference presented by the youth of the Islamic world

Under the auspices of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center at Ain Shams University hosted the “ISESCO General Conference Simulation Model Presented by the Youth of the Islamic World” during the period from September 30 to October 7, 2023, under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Ayman Ashour, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Prof. Dr. Ghada Farouk, Acting President of Ain Shams University, Professor Dr. Abdel Fattah Saud, Vice President of the University for Education and Student Affairs.

This came in the presence of Dr. Karim Hammam, Advisor to the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research and Director of the Leadership Preparation Institute, Dr. Mohamed Samir Hamza, Head of the Cultural Affairs and Missions Sector at the Ministry of Higher Education, Dr. Sherif Saleh, Head of the Central Administration for International Students of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Ayman Farid Musaed. Minister of Higher Education for Strategic Planning, Prof. Sherweit El-Ahmady, Director of the International students and mobility office, Dr. Weam Mahmoud, Executive Director of the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center at Ain Shams University, Dr. Sally Mabrouk, Director of the Program, and Dr. Islam Adly, Director of Student Activities at the University’s Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center.

The event comes within the framework of simulating the activities of innovation laboratories, which are held on the sidelines of the opening of the ISESCO's Year of Youth. Innovation laboratories are spaces designated for social innovation, enabling young people from diverse backgrounds to cooperate and participate in generating and testing new ideas and technologies and applying them to facilitate progress in various fields by finding innovative solutions.

Innovation laboratories also urge young people to be inspired by renewed ideas, and to use innovation tools and brainstorming tools to stimulate innovative thinking. Given the development and change the world is witnessing now, integrating youth ideas and initiatives has become necessary to create the future and seize opportunities.

During the innovation lab simulation model at the Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship at Ain Shams University, topics were discussed in the field of education, including the role of human values in contemporary education and the extent to which the youth of the Islamic world are prepared for the jobs of tomorrow and the future of education in the Islamic world.

Topics in the field of science were also discussed, namely the role of the youth of the Islamic world in climate change issues, the role of the youth of the Islamic world in participating in space science and discovering the opportunities available to them.

In addition to discussing topics in the field of social and human sciences about the role of the youth of the Islamic world in peacemaking, and how the youth of the Islamic world face the impact of the entertainment industry and social media on the mental health and safety of individuals.

In the field of culture, it was discussed how young people can contribute to the renewal of Islamic civilization, and how to enhance the spirit of citizenship among young people despite the increasing phenomenon of immigration, while in the field of communication, the vision of young people for the future of media and communication in light of digital transformation was discussed.

It is noteworthy that the innovation laboratories aim to enhance creativity and innovation and encourage young people to develop their ideas and explore new solutions to the problems facing the Islamic world in the field of education, science and culture, and develop the skills of young people and provide them with opportunities to develop their skills in a variety of fields such as technology, entrepreneurship, design, programming and critical thinking. .

It also aims to support sustainability by encouraging young people to think about sustainable solutions and contribute to facing challenges in the Islamic world, in addition to enhancing communication and social interaction by creating an opportunity for young people to meet their peers and exchange ideas and experiences.

The innovation laboratories aim to propose innovative projects by allowing young people to propose educational, social or cultural projects, enhancing critical thinking and problem solving: enhancing young people’s abilities to think critically and devise solutions to complex challenges, in addition to promoting diversity and inclusion and encouraging young people from different social and cultural backgrounds. and nationalities to participate in innovation laboratories, contribute to social diversity, and encourage ethical thinking by enhancing moral awareness among young people and encouraging them to think about the effects of innovation on Islamic society.
