During his participation on behalf of His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Republic, in the celebration of the launch of the “ICESCO Year of Youth,” Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, Prime Minister, witnessed a number of events during the celebration that was organized by the Islamic World Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ICESCO), in cooperation with the Egyptian Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, under the patronage of His Excellency Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Republic.
The opening activities began with the showing of a documentary film about the activities of ISESCO, followed by a speech by Dr. Salem Al-Malik, Director General of ISESCO, and then a documentary film about the efforts of the Egyptian state to support youth and ways of innovation and creativity, followed by a speech by Dr. Mohamed Ayman Ashour, Minister of Higher Education, about Egypt’s presidency of the conference ISESCO Year of Youth 2023.
The celebration witnessed an artistic performance by the Islamic World Youth Choir, and the celebration included a number of important topics, including ISESCO’s vision in the field of building the capabilities of youth in the Islamic world, as well as the efforts of the Egyptian state in nurturing and empowering youth during the era of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, in addition to the role of the Ministry of Higher Education in supporting creators and innovators, it is scheduled that a group of creative, brilliant and innovative young people in the Islamic world will be honored during the celebration.
The "ICESCO Year of Youth" aims to build the capabilities of young people in the Organization's member states and develop their skills, in coordination with the competent authorities in each country and to help them develop their capabilities and exploit their enthusiasm and energies for what benefits them and the human community in general.
It also aims to build capabilities to keep pace with technological developments taking place in the world, increase awareness of various issues, build integrated personalities, and contribute to consolidating the values of coexistence, peace, and civilizational dialogue.
The Islamic World Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ISESCO) is a specialized international organization working within the framework of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, concerned with the fields of education, science, culture, and communication in Islamic countries, to support and strengthen ties between member states. It was established in 1982.
The organization aims to achieve interconnection, integration, and strategic coordination between the countries of the Islamic world in its areas of specialization, as well as strengthening the capabilities of educational systems and improving their indicators in member states, in addition to stimulating comprehensive cultural development for the peoples of the Islamic world. The organization’s headquarters are located in the Moroccan city of Rabat.
