The Governor of Cairo checks on the activities of Ain Shams University Comprehensive Development Convoy in Ahalina 1 neighborhood

This morning, Major General Khaled Abdel-Al, Governor of Cairo, inspected the activities of the Ain Shams University Comprehensive Development Caravan, which is organized by the Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs Sector to serve the people of the Ahalina neighborhood (1) under the auspices of Prof. Ghada Farouk, Acting President of Ain Shams University, coordinated and attended Prof. Gehan Rajab, Advisor to the Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs and coordination of Prof. Hala Suwaid, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Medicine for Community Service and Environmental Development, and the general supervision and presence of Major General Hossam El-Sherbiny, Assistant Secretary-General of the University for Community Affairs and Environmental Development, and the presence and participation of Prof. Hayam Refaat, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Nursing for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs and Prof. Dina Farouk Abu Zeid, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Information for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs and Director of the University’s Media Center, and Prof. Islam Al-Saeed, director of the adult education center at the university, and a number of Students For Egypt Central family.

         
   
         

The convoy includes medical services through free examination at the convoy’s clinics, including: an internal clinic - a women’s clinic - a children’s clinic - a nose and ear clinic - an orthopedic clinic - a dental clinic, a dermatology clinic - an ophthalmic clinic - a surgery clinic - a clinic for early detection of breast tumors, measuring blood pressure and blood sugar, and raising awareness about... Diabetes and hypertension, and a pharmacy to dispense medicine for free, with the participation of the faculties of medicine, dentistry, pharmacy, and nursing.

The activities of the caravan also include a number of awareness seminars, namely: “Increasing community awareness about reproductive health, family planning, breast examination, awareness about self-examination, raising awareness about the dangers of addiction and its impact on the individual, family and society, and seminars to educate mothers about protecting their children from common accidents and dealing with them when they happen, and providing first aid.” necessary, breastfeeding, its importance, and proper nutrition” and presented by specialized professors from the College of Nursing.

         
   
         

In addition to “Rumours,” their definition, types, danger, and how to confront them, are presented by professors of the Faculty of Information, and awareness seminars entitled “My Country is a Secretariat to raise awareness of the challenges facing society in light of global crises,” and awareness of “combat violence against women” and a family without violence, presented by the National Council for Women, Cairo Branch.

Immediate exams for those wishing to be freed from illiteracy will also be held through the convoy under the supervision of the General Authority for Adult Education in cooperation with the University’s Adult Education Center.
