The Faculty of Computer and Information Sciences at Ain Shams University celebrated the graduation of the 24th batch and the first batch of dual degree holders, in partnership with the University of East London in the United Kingdom, in the presence of Prof. Ghada Farouk, Acting President of the University, and Prof. Najwa Badr, Dean of the Faculty, and Prof. Ahmed Zaki Badr, former Minister of Local Development, Education, and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of October 6 University and a member of the Council of Ain Shams University, Prof. Yasser Al-Qadi, former Minister of Communications and member of the Faculty Council, and Prof. Hala Mushir, Vice Dean of the Faculty for Education and Student Affairs, and Prof. Rasha Ismail, Vice Dean of the Faculty for Graduate Studies and Research, and Prof. Tamer Mostafa, Vice Dean of the Faculty for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, and Prof. Sherine Rady, Director of Programs and Prof. Reem Al-Kabariti, Director of the University’s Alumni Association, and a group of professors from the University of East London in the United Kingdom, including the Director of the Faculty of Computer and Information Sciences at the University of East London, the Director of Programs at the University of East London, Engineer Injy Al-Sabban, a member of the Board of Directors of the Communications Division of the Chamber of Commerce, and a group of Faculty professors from various departments and programs. .
In her speech, Prof. Ghada Farouk affirmed that the Faculty of Computer and Information Sciences is one of the faculties that provide a graduate with experience and specialization that has become the basis for progress in the current era and the future of any country, pointing out that the double degree granted by the faculty increases the polish of its graduates in the labor market.
Prof. Najwa Badr added that the Faculty of Computer and Information Sciences at Ain Shams University was able to succeed in building an international partnership with one of the most prestigious universities in the world and the United Kingdom in the field of information technology, especially since we have become in an era that speaks the language of technology, which has become the first word and has become specializations such as artificial intelligence and cybersecurity are at the forefront of the specializations required in the international labor market, stressing that the partnership with the University of East London and obtaining the graduate of the Faculty of Computer and Information Sciences at Ain Shams University, a dual degree makes him able to compete strongly in the global market and not just the local one.
She pointed out that the Faculty of Computer and Information Sciences began years ago the journey of challenges that have become a reality and a tangible achievement, culminating locally in the faculty receiving the Government Excellence Award for two consecutive years and internationally in partnership with the University of East London, stressing that the faculty’s first goal is for every graduate to obtain a good job opportunity consistent with his specialty.
The ceremony included presenting plaques of honor to the ceremony’s guests, including ministers and public figures, then awarding certificates to researchers holding master’s and doctoral degrees, honoring top students from various departments and programs, and honoring dual degree students.
The ceremony included singing performances by the faculty choir, with the attendance of graduates and their families interacting, expressing their joy on this special day.
