The University's Awards Office meets in its forty-eighth meeting with the University's award recipients
Based on Ain Shams University’s permanent commitment to achieving excellence and competition, and given its leadership position in granting awards to the university’s young researchers and scientists in various fields, in addition to its constant desire to benefit from the valuable experiences of the recipients of prestigious awards, The University Awards Office is pleased to announce the holding of its forty-eighth meeting to honor these pioneers and distinguished people, which was held at the headquarters of the University’s Networks and Information Technology Center on September 25, 2023, under the supervision of Dr. Islam Hegazy, Executive Director of the Center for Networks and Information Technology, Prof. Rasha Ismail, Director of the Electronic Portal, Prof. Alaa Abdel Halim Farag, General Supervisor of the University’s Awards Office, The Awards Office hosted Prof. Hanan Gouda Al-Hais, Professor of Physics at the Faculty of Girls and recipient of the University’s Appreciation Award in the field of Basic Sciences for the year 2022, where her research was focused in the field of materials science and its applications, and many research papers have been published in specialized international journals.

It is worth noting that Prof. Hanan has a distinguished scientific publication that includes approximately 125 scientific papers published in specialized international journals, and she has actively contributed to organizing eight international conferences in her field of specialization. In addition, she supervised many master’s and doctoral theses and performed many arbitrations for scientific theses and scientific research.
It is known that Prof. Hanan headed the first winter scientific training school, which was held at the Faculty of Girls in 2018. Her Excellency also participated in organizing approximately 30 workshops related to physics and its applications. Her Excellency also has membership in many scientific societies affiliated with the Academy of Scientific Research. Her Excellency was also the first director of the e-learning unit at the Faculty of Girls in 2021.
Her Excellency emphasized the prominent role that Ain Shams University plays in supporting young researchers in completing their scientific research, in addition to the rewards of international publishing, support for applied projects, and other initiatives that the university provides to researchers. Her Excellency extended her sincere thanks to the university administration for providing all forms of support and facilities in all scientific and administrative aspects.
Her Excellency also presented a message to young researchers to work towards excellence in the field of scientific research, be patient and persevere in distinguished publications in international journals, participate in many scientific seminars, and communicate with professors in the field of specialization to benefit from their expertise.
It is worth noting that Ain Shams University pays constant and effective attention to supporting scientific research and researchers, as its administration devotes great attention to its youth and professors, and seriously seeks to enhance the spirit of academic excellence, innovation, and scientific research in various disciplines. The university also aspires to achieve the highest levels of leadership and competitiveness in the fields of education and scientific research, in addition to focusing on the applied aspects of scientific research in order to enhance the contribution to the development of society.
