The Department of Nursing Administration at the Faculty of Nursing, at Ain Shams University, organized the ninth employment forum, under the patronage of Prof. Ghada Farouk, Acting President of Ain Shams University, Prof. Sahar Moussa, Dean of the Faculty of Nursing and Chairman of the Forum, under the supervision of Prof. Hiyam Refaat, Vice Dean of the Faculty for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, Prof. Mona Mustafa Shazly, Head of the Nursing Administration Department and Rapporteur of the Forum, Prof. Reem Al-Kabariti, Director of the Alumni Relations Department at the University, and Asst. Prof. Hana Abd Rabbo, Director of the Faculty’s Graduate Unit, in the presence of Prof. Shahira Samir, Executive Director of the University’s International Relations and Academic Collaboration Sector, the faculty’s Vice deans, a group of faculty staff, teaching assistants, faculty graduates, and representatives from the participating hospitals, such as Ain Shams University Hospitals, Cleopatra Hospital, Shifa Hospital, Misr International Hospital, the Wadi El Neel Hospital, Al-Arabi Hospital, the Secretariat of Specialized Medical Centers, and Alameda Hospital.
Prof. Sahar Moussa confirmed that the faculty hastened to prepare for this employment forum to qualify the students and graduates of the faculty to give them the opportunity to learn about the market needs and benefit from the experiences and expertise of graduates working in various fields in partnership with a number of participating hospitals, in accordance with the strategy of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and Ain Shams University, especially the Faculty of Nursing, also, in light of the Sustainable Development Plan in Egypt 2030, which works to improve the competitiveness of education systems and outcomes and support a disciplined market economy characterized by stable conditions and capable of achieving comprehensive and sustainable growth characterized by competitiveness, diversity, reliance on knowledge, and generating decent and productive job opportunities.
Prof. Sahar Moussa also explained that the forum aims to link the faculty with the labor market to create distinguished job opportunities for its graduates and provide opportunities for them and the students to learn about the needs of the labor market, in addition to the participation of students and graduates in the activities and events carried out by the faculty, as well as benefiting from the experiences and expertise of the graduates. In the faculty’s events and activities, conveying a realistic picture of the labor market requirements, and directing the participating hospitals towards the importance of small entrepreneurship projects presented by faculty students within the activities of the innovation unit and supporting them as a step to advance development.
Prof. Shahira Samir expressed her happiness at being at the Faculty of Nursing to attend this event and welcomed the attendees and representatives of the participating hospitals. She also thanked the administration of the Faculty of Nursing, headed by Prof. Sahar Musa for the faculty’s ongoing activity. She also thanked Dr. Reem Al-Kabariti for providing many job opportunities for the university’s graduates. She also congratulated the graduates on reaching this stage, noting that the students of the Faculty of Nursing have a different thought, a mission, and an important role in serving the community because the medical professions are considered among the highest professions, through dealing with patients, wishing everyone more success and the best choices in professional life.
Prof. Reem Al-Kabariti, in her speech, welcomed the attendees, the participating hospitals, and the graduates, she also, thanked Prof. Sahar Moussa, Dean of the Faculty, Dr. Hiyam Refaat, Vice Dean of the Faculty, and Prof. Hanaa, Director of the Graduate Unit at the Faculty, for the effort made and their constant keenness to hold an annual employment forum, the presence of hospitals, and the creation of job opportunities for graduates of the Faculty of Nursing.
Her Excellency also presented an introduction to the Alumni Association, explaining that it is a department within the Departments of the International Relations and Academic Cooperation Sector that creates permanent communication between the university and its graduates over the years and works to know the labor market and its requirements and trains students in recent years on these requirements for ease of joining the labor market and providing it to them through holding employment forums and more activities.
It is worth noting that at the end of the day, Prof. Sahar Moussa honors Prof. Shahira Samir and Prof. Reem Al-Kabariti, as well as the participating hospitals and providing faculty shields.
