In cooperation with the electronic portal, the university’s awards office meets in its forty-seventh meeting with the university’s award recipients
Based on Ain Shams University’s keenness to achieve excellence and competition, and in continuation of Ain Shams University’s leadership in the field of awards through the university’s young researchers and scholars in various fields, and benefit from the practical experience of recipients of prestigious awards, the University Awards Office, in cooperation with the electronic portal, continued its meetings and held its forty-seventh meeting, for the university’s award recipients, which was held at the headquarters of the university’s Networks and Information Technology Center on September 12, 2023, under the supervision of Dr. Islam Hegazy, Executive Director of the Center for Networks and Information Technology, Prof. Rasha Ismail, Director of the Electronic Portal, Prof. Alaa Abdel Halim Farag, General Supervisor of the University’s Awards Office.
The Awards Office hosted Dr. Ester Tharwat Menz, Assistant Professor in the Department of Pharmaceuticals and Toxicology at the University’s Faculty of Pharmacy, as well as Dr. Nouran Youssef Salah El-Din, Assistant Professor in the Department of Pediatrics at the University’s Faculty of Medicine, who received the University Encouragement Award in the field of medical sciences for the year 2022, equally, as their research focused on applied medical research. Many research papers for both have been published in specialized international journals.

It is worth noting that Dr. Ester Tharwat has approximately 28 scientific papers published in specialized international journals, and she has attended many international conferences in the field of specialization. She has also supervised many master’s and doctoral theses, with approximately 30 theses so far, and has many peer-reviews for theses and scientific research.
Likewise, Dr. Nouran Youssef has many specialized research papers published internationally, approximately 32 international research papers so far, in addition to attending many local and international conferences, reviewing specialized research in international journals, in addition to supervising many master’s and doctoral theses, including approximately 30 theses and participating in many specialized medical societies.
Both of them stressed the prominent role played by Ain Shams University in supporting young researchers in completing their scientific research, in addition to the rewards of international publishing, support for applied projects, and other initiatives that the university offers to researchers. Both of them thanked the university administration for providing all forms of support and facilities in all scientific and administrative aspects.
Both of them also presented a message to fellow young researchers to work on excellence in the field of scientific research and try to publish in applied fields that benefit society and choose specialized journals with a high impact factor in order to help compete and obtain awards. In addition to being keen to attend scientific seminars and conferences to further benefit, refine scientific research personality, and benefit from the experiences of others.
The role of Ain Shams University in supporting scientific research and researchers is witnessing renewed and effective interest, as its administration devotes great attention to its youth and professors, and works hard to enhance the spirit of academic excellence, innovation, and scientific research across various disciplines, and seeks to achieve the highest levels of leadership and competitiveness in all areas of education and scientific research. In addition to the applied aspects of scientific research for the benefit of society, this reflects its serious commitment to achieving the highest levels of quality and excellence.
