Children's University in a visit to the Faculty of Pharmacy

In continuation of the activities and events of the Children’s University at Ain Shams University, under the patronage of Prof. Ghada Farouk, Acting President of the University, and under the supervision of Prof. Shahira Samir, Executive Director of the International Relations and Academic Cooperation Sector, and Dr. Noha Al-Rafei, Deputy Director of the Grants and Projects Department and Coordinator of the Children's University at Ain Shams University.

         
   
         

The Faculty of Pharmacy at Ain Shams University, headed by Prof. Amani Osama Kamel, Dean of the Faculty, received a batch of 74 children from Children’s University, in coordination with Prof. Dina Abdel Ati, assistant lecturer in the Department of Pharmaceutics and Industrial Pharmacy, Salma Sameh, teaching assistant in the Department of Medical Drugs, Marina Maged, teaching assistant in the Department of Medical Drugs at the college, Maryam Bakbashi, teaching assistant in the Department of Pharmaceutics and Industrial Pharmacy, Sheren Al-Qarsh and Mai Hisham, teaching assistants in the Department of Analytical Chemistry, and Salma Hisham and Rana Muhammad, teaching assistants in the Department of Microbiology and Immunology.

The children from the Faculty of Environmental Studies and Sciences directed them to the Faculty of Pharmacy in the morning, and they were divided into two groups to take a tour of the college. The students settled in the laboratory to receive their lectures in the various departments of the college with the help of teaching assistants.

Among the activities was a visit to pharmaceutical laboratories and the manufacture of toothpaste using natural materials and colors. Educational videos were also shown to children using modern technological means, including steps for manufacturing yoghurt.

         
   
         

It is worth noting that these activities are a resumption of the sixth stage, whose activities began at the beginning of this August and extend until the end of September, and that the university’s Grants and Projects Management team is responsible for all regulatory and supervisory procedures, as it is responsible for maintaining the safety of children by receiving and delivering children to the College of Science amphitheater. Accompanying them throughout the activities in the various colleges to work to overcome any difficulties faced by the college coordinators, in addition to following up on all logistical, financial, and administrative operations for the Children’s University, which is funded by the Academy of Scientific Research and Technology.

After the end of the day, the children returned to their meeting place at the Faculty of Environmental Studies and Sciences to hand the children over to their parents.
