Children's University students visit the Faculty of Medicine

In continuation of the activities and events of the Children's University at Ain Shams University, under the auspices of Prof. Ghada Farouk, Acting President of the University, and supervising Prof. Shahira Samir, Executive Director of the International Relations and Academic Collaboration Sector, and Dr. Noha Al-Rafii, Deputy Director of the Grants and Projects Department and Coordinator of the Children’s University at Ain Shams University, this morning, the Faculty of Medicine at Ain Shams University, headed by Prof. Ali Al-Anwar, Dean of the Faculty and Prof. Hala Sweid, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Medicine for Community Service and Environmental Development, received a group of 60 children from Children’s University, coordinated by Dr. Mustafa Al-Shahed, at the Department of Community, Environmental and Industrial Medicine, Dr. Manar Al-Labban, at the Department of Community and Environmental Medicine and Dr. Zainab Ashraf, at the Department of Community, Environmental and Industrial Medicine.

The students headed to the Faculty’s Al-Banhawi Auditorium to listen to a number of awareness and introductory lectures, where Dr. Mustafa began the visit by introducing the children to the Faculty of Medicine and its various departments and specialties, as well as explaining and elaborating to the children about the healthy human body.

He also helped the children to differentiate between literary and scientific materials and pointed out to them that philosophy and logic are the basis of all sciences.

         
   
         

Dr. Manar Al-Labban touched the personal hygiene and its importance in preventing diseases, and teaching children how to clean their hands and brush their teeth.

Dr. Zainab Ashraf advised the children to have healthy food, explaining its importance in building the body and how to maintain a healthy, healthy, and strong body.

She also explained the definition of immunity and its importance in protecting the body from diseases, healthy food useful for children, and clarification of the different types of nutrients that food contains and their benefits to the body, in a constructive dialogue with children.

         
   
         

Among the activities of the visit is to divide the children into 3 groups to take them to the e-learning studio in the faculty, where sick cases are photographed and students are taught about them, and to visit the simulation laboratory and explain its idea to the children, as the laboratory contains models of a full human body equipped to train students in a way that simulates reality.

It is worth noting that these activities are considered a resumption of the sixth phase, which began its activities in early August and extends until the end of September.

The university’s Grants and Projects Management team is responsible for all regulatory and supervisory procedures, as it is responsible for preserving the safety of children by receiving and delivering children to the Faculty of Science auditorium and accompanying them throughout the period of activities in the various faculties to work to overcome any difficulties facing the faculty coordinators.

In addition to following up on all logistical, financial, and administrative operations of the Children’s University, which is funded by the Academy of Scientific Research and Technology.

After the end of the day, the children returned by Ain Shams University bus to their meeting place at the Faculty of Science to hand over the children to their parents.
