At the invitation of the Chinese Ministry of Culture and Tourism and Nanjing University of Arts, Prof. Ghada Farouk, Acting President of Ain Shams University, Prof. Nasser Abdel-Al, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Al-Alsun for Education and Student Affairs and Director of the Confucius Institute at Ain Shams University, and Prof. Mohamed Ramadan, Assistant Lecturer at the Faculty of Computer and Information Sciences, representing the youth of Ain Shams University in the activities of the Chinese-Arab Animation Industry Forum.
The forum aims to support cooperation between China and the Arab countries in the field of the animation industry, deepen acquaintance between Chinese and Arab youth for more innovation in the animation industry, open horizons for the production of television, cinema, and games, and upgrade modern technology in this vital field.
On the sidelines of the forum, Prof. Ghada Farouk met Mr. Lu Yangchuan, Vice Minister of Culture and Tourism of China, Ms. Su Ying, Vice President of Jiangsu Province, Professor. Li Xiangmin, President of Nanjing Academy of Arts, and Professor. Xia Si, Dean of the School of International Education, at Nanjing University of Arts.
On the second day of the forum, Prof. Ghada Farouk participated at the promotional meeting for the urban digital culture industry, which dealt with digital cities, digital modernization, digital culture, and the digital economy.
On the sidelines of the meeting, Prof. Ghada Farouk met Mr. Cha Yingdong, Mayor of Suzhou City, Mr. Sheng Beh, Secretary-General of the Party in Suzhou City, Ms. Qi Hui Zhao, Director-General of the Department of Culture and Tourism in Beijing, and Mr. Wang Min, Director-General of the Department of Culture, Radio, Television and Tourism of Chengdu City.
Her Excellency also met with Ms. Zhong Dan Dan, Head of the International Cooperation Department, and Professor Duan and An Kai at China Media University, and discussed the vision of China Media University regarding its desire to cooperate with the Faculties of Mass Communication and Computer and Information Sciences at Ain Shams University in specializations and programs related to the animation industry in television, cinema and games, in addition to exchange professors and students and implement joint projects between specialists from both sides.
Prof. Ghada Farouk participated at the Forum of Institutions Concerned with the Manufacturing, Marketing and Distribution of Animated Films to learn about future prospects for cooperation between the university and commercial institutions specialized in this industry, which has become an important tributary that contributes greatly to the national economy.
A number of institutions from Beijing, Shanghai, and Guangdong, China, and their counterparts from the Arab countries of Egypt, Algeria, Tunisia, and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia participated in the forum, where their experiences in the field of the animation industry and the prospects for cooperation between Chinese and Arab institutions in this industry were presented.
