The Faculty of Graduate Studies and Environmental Research at Ain Shams University announced the opening of registration for inter-programs at the faculty level with credit hour programs, under the auspices of Prof. Ghada Farouk, Acting President of the University and Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development, Prof. Noha Samir Donia, Dean of the Faculty, Prof. Reham Refaat, Vice Dean for Postgraduate Studies.
Prof. Noha Samir Donia, Dean of the Faculty, said that the study in this semester for the inter-programs at the college level includes the master's and doctoral programs in sustainable energy and the environment, master's programs in (integrated water resources management - recycling technology - environmental consulting).
She added that the door to apply for programs within the departments will be opened in January 2024, in compliance with the decision of the President of the University, and the new programs include 44 hours of credit hours for a master’s degree and 54 hours for a doctorate. The hours include compulsory and elective subjects, and the rest are thesis hours.
Regarding the conditions for applying to the programs, Prof. Noha Samir Donia, Dean of the Faculty, said that it is a condition for the inter-programs available in cooperation with foreign universities that the applicant has a high qualification with a good grade, and the student may not be accepted except in one program only from the one who registered in them.
It is also required that the applicant pass the integrated environmental course first to apply to any program for new students other than graduates of the faculty, noting that the student can obtain a master’s degree within a year and a doctorate within two years if he passes all the conditions for awarding the degree.
