Prof. Abdel-Fattah Saoud, Vice President of Ain Shams University for Education and Student Affairs, and Dr. Ahmed Nasser Al-Nuaimi, Director General of the Arab Science Center for University Services and Training in the United Arab Emirates, signed a cooperation agreement between the two parties to market and promote the educational tracks offered by the university.
This came in the presence of Prof. Ghada Farouk, Acting President of Ain Shams University and Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development, Prof. Mohamed Hassan Abdel-Azim, President of Sadat Academy for Administrative Sciences, Prof. Saleh Hashem, Former President of Ain Shams University, Prof. Mona Abdel-Aal Al-Zahri, Director of the Education Development Department, Prof. Sherweit El-Ahmady, Director of the International Students and Mobility Office at the University, Mr. Ibrahim Saeed Hamza, Assistant Secretary of the University for Education and Student Affairs, and Mr. Mohamed Abdel-Malik, Director General of Legal Affairs at the University.
The agreement comes as an implementation of Ain Shams University's strategy to facilitate and provide distinguished "educational and training" academic services to all the people of the Arab world and to facilitate the registration and enrollment procedures for students wishing to study there.
The agreement aims to cooperate, promote, and market with the aim of attracting students to study at Ain Shams University in all scientific disciplines offered for degrees in bachelor's, bachelor's, master's, and doctoral degrees, especially in the top faculties "Medicine, Dentistry, and all majors of the faculties of Engineering."
Prof. Abdel-Fattah Saud stressed that the signing of the cooperation agreement comes within the framework of consolidating and strengthening cooperation between Egypt and the UAE, especially during the recent times, which witnessed an unprecedented leap in the level of cooperation and coordination between the two countries during the era of His Excellency President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Arab Republic of Egypt and H. H. Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates, at all levels.
Prof. Abdel-Fattah Saoud noted the keenness of Ain Shams University to open horizons of international, academic, and research cooperation with various parties, and to provide all distinguished educational services to students, in line with the latest modern education systems and the labor market, expressing his happiness at signing a cooperation agreement with the Emirati side, In order to provide the opportunity for students of the Gulf Cooperation Council countries to obtain all academic degrees and achieve their desires, in line with the Universities Regulation Law, the decisions of the Supreme Council of Universities, and the internal regulations of Ain Shams University.
He added that Ain Shams University pays special attention to the international students’ file as part of its endeavor to be a leading destination for international students from all over the world, pointing out that the number of international students at Ain Shams University reaches ten thousand students from 78 different countries, stressing that the university receives international students from different countries of the world with great hospitality and appreciation, and provides them with the opportunity to obtain high-quality education and benefit from the experiences of distinguished professors and a vibrant and diverse university environment, and encourages them to engage in various student activities to enhance cultural and scientific exchange between foreign and local students.
For his part, Dr. Ahmed Nasser Al Nuaimi, Director General of the Arab Science Center for University Services and Training in the United Arab Emirates, stressed the depth of Emirati-Egyptian relations, especially in the field of education, research, and knowledge, pointing out that the education system in both countries is proceeding according to a strategy aimed at achieving joint cooperation in building the human being, and Egypt and the UAE are keen on student scientific exchange to make the most of educational experiences and education systems.
Al-Nuaimi praised the Egyptian-Emirati relations at all levels and levels, which reflects the level of understanding between the two brotherly countries, praising Egypt's pioneering role in the field of education and the UAE's keenness to cooperate with it in the field of higher education.
The Director General of the Arab Science Center for University Services and Training in the United Arab Emirates stated that the agreement comes as one of the fruits of this cooperation with the Egyptian side on the educational level and came after an in-depth study in order to achieve the interests of students in the Gulf Cooperation Council countries in general, and the United Arab Emirates in particular. Where the center cooperates, in coordination with the competent authorities at Ain Shams University, to attract students from the Gulf Cooperation Council countries, to study at Ain Shams University in various disciplines in the various faculties of Ain Shams University.
Al-Nuaimi noted that the Arab Science Center for University Services and Training aims to provide all aspects of support for students of the Gulf Cooperation Council countries to study at Ain Shams University, praising the progress made by the university in international rankings, pointing out that Ain Shams University is one of the prestigious universities, which provides the opportunity for students of the Gulf Cooperation Council countries to enroll in it with specific procedures without any complications in accordance with the Egyptian Universities Law.
Al-Nuaimi stressed that the agreement aims to achieve the interests of International Egyptian students and parents in the UAE and all countries of the Gulf Cooperation Council, in order to achieve the difficult equation between learning in the motherland by exploiting modern technologies in distance learning through the hybrid education system that Ain Shams University provides for our children of the Egyptian International students in the Arab Gulf countries, without the need to attend university in the expatriate countries of residence, which is the difficult equation that expatriate students and parents were looking for.
Al-Nuaimi indicated that the Arab Science Center for University Services and Training has academic experience and a business precedent to attract students to study at Ain Shams University.
