The Ideal Student Competition in the Faculty of Arts

The Social Committee of the Student Union at the Faculty of Arts, at Ain Shams University, held the Ideal Student Competition, with the participation of 35 students from different departments from all teams and academic levels, under the auspices of Prof. Ghada Farouk, Acting President of Ain Shams University, Prof. Abdel Fattah Saoud, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, Prof. Hanan Kamel, Dean of the Faculty, and supervision of Prof. Mohamed Ibrahim, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs, implemented by Mrs. Soha Al-Saba, Director of the Youth Welfare Department, Mr. Mamdouh Abdel Hamid, Head of the Social Department of the Youth Welfare Department, the student Helmy Ahmed, Head of the Faculty Students Union, the student Walaa Tayseer, Vice President of the Union, and the student Ali Ezzat, Secretary of the Social Committee, and the student Asmaa Bayoumi Assistant Secretary of the Committee.

The competition aims to select the ideal male and female student at the faculty level in the first, second, and third places, in order to achieve praiseworthy competition among students. The competition relied on evaluating students in terms of cumulative GPA, proficiency in Arabic and English, culture and general information, practicing various activities, and good appearance.

Prof. Hanan Kamel, Dean of the Faculty, expressed the students’ keenness on scientific excellence, in addition to participating in the various activities offered by the Faculty through the Department of Youth Welfare, which contributes to stimulating knowledge and enriching the general culture of students. At the end of the competition, the jury announced the names of the winners.

The student Samaa Alaa Anani won first place, the student Mariam Ahmed Abdel Salam won second place, third place was won by the student Shahd Muhammad Muhammad and the student Maria Shawqi Naim won third place duplicate.

The esteemed arbitration committee was headed by Prof. Hanan Kamel, Dean of the Faculty, and the membership of each Prof. Mohamed Ibrahim, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs, Prof. Mohamed Samir Al-Khatib, Professor of Drama and Theatrical Criticism, Prof. Ahmed Salah, professor of Hebrew at the faculty.
