Incubator of the Ministry of Youth and Sports in cooperation with the Innovation Center at Ain Shams University

Under the auspices of the Ministry of Youth and Sports headed by Dr. Ashraf Sobhi, and in cooperation with Ain Shams University headed by Prof. Ghada Farouk, Acting President of the University and Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development and the implementation of the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center at Ain Shams University and in cooperation with the Training and Development Center at the university, the Ministry of Youth and Sports in the Arab Republic of Egypt announced the launch of the Business Incubator Program in the field of sports (Runs) to support innovators and entrepreneurs, implemented by the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center at Ain Shams University and in cooperation with the University's Training and Development Center.

The program aims to form a community of entrepreneurs who are interested in establishing start-up companies that develop technologies that serve the various fields of sports and contribute to the development of sports management and related fields in Egypt.

The program's target groups include entrepreneurs and start-up owners working in the fields of sports technology and sports management, as well as innovative ideas and inspired researchers in these fields.

The program includes three main stages, starting with spreading awareness of sports technologies and sports management, followed by the stage of validating ideas and startups, and ending with the incubation stage.

Program objectives include:

Dissemination and promotion of knowledge of sports technologies and sports management among the Egyptian university community

Supporting and promoting startups and innovative ideas in the fields of sports technology

Providing training activities and workshops to build the capabilities of the participants and develop their skills

Preparing participants to take advantage of local and international opportunities.

The first phase of the program includes holding seminars and workshops in various Egyptian universities to spread awareness of sports technologies and sports management, while the second phase includes supporting and promoting startups and discovered ideas, providing funding and continuous support to achieve growth, while the third phase aims to create new job opportunities through companies. The startups that graduate from the program, and the development of the entrepreneurial environment through a broad strategy to promote entrepreneurship and raise awareness in society.

The program's outputs also include building a sports technology and sports management community, and supporting and developing technical solutions that contribute to the development of sports activities for individuals and institutions in Egypt.

The incubation program is under the supervision of the supervising committee on the part of the Ministry of Youth and Sports, and this committee includes:

Major General Ismail Al-Far, Head of the Youth Sector, Mrs. Nagwa Salah, Head of the Central Administration for Youth Development, Mrs. Manal Jamal, Head of the Central Administration for Youth Empowerment, Mrs. Ola Kamal, Director General of Universities, and Prof. Ahmed Sami, researcher at the technical office of the minister.

The executive committee on the part of the Innovation Center at Ain Shams University represents the following pioneering leaders:

Prof. Adel Al-Sabbagh, General Director of the Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship at Ain Shams University, Dr. Weam Mahmoud, Executive Director of the Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship at Ain Shams University, Prof. Dr. Nevin Assem, Director of the Training and Development Center at Ain Shams University and Mrs. Dina Tharwat, Director of Business Incubation Programs at the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center at Ain Shams University.

For their part, the Ministry and Ain Shams University expressed their aspiration to achieve the goals of this important program and to support entrepreneurs in the field of sports technology in order to develop the sports sector and achieve sustainable development in Egypt.
