A new achievement for Ain Shams University in the Shanghai World Ranking of Universities, and its progress in 100 places worldwide

Ain Shams University announced that it has advanced 100 places in the Shanghai World Ranking of Universities from the previous year, to rank from 601 to 700 in the world. This came under the auspices of Prof. Ghada Farouk, Acting President of Ain Shams University, and Prof. Abdel Fattah Saoud, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, supervised by Prof. Shahira Samir, Executive Director of the International Relations and Academic Collaboration Sector, and Prof. Ahmed Al-Banna, Director of the University's International Classification Office.

In this context, the current university administration, under the supervision of Prof. Ghada Farouk, Acting President of the University, and Prof. Abdel Fattah Saoud, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, abundant thanks and appreciation to the former President of Ain Shams University, Prof. Mahmoud El-Meteini for his efforts throughout his tenure as president of the university in pushing for further progress for Ain Shams University in various fields, leading to globalization. The current university administration also thanked Prof. Ayman Saleh, former Vice President for Postgraduate Studies and Research, and all faculty staff in various faculties, the Education Development Department at the University, and the Quality Assurance Center for their active role in achieving this new global achievement for Ain Shams University.

It is worth noting that Ain Shams University succeeded in appearing in this prestigious international classification in 2017, despite the lack of the basic criterion for entering this classification, which is that one of its professors won the International Nobel Prize, which was an obstacle for Ain Shams University to enter this international classification, despite its strong appearance in many international rankings, participation of Ain Shams University's in this classification and its continued progress year after year reflect the strength of Ain Shams University as a research institution. It can compete with various Egyptian and international universities, as Ain Shams University has made great progress in recent years in global publishing rates in international periodicals and journals indexed on CLARIVATE, nature and science magazines, all this had an influential role in Ain Shams University's continued progress in the Shanghai World Ranking, to compete strongly with various international universities.
