In cooperation with the electronic portal, the University Awards Office meets in its forty-fifth meeting with prestigious award recipients

Based on Ain Shams University's keenness to achieve excellence and competition, and as a continuation of Ain Shams University's leadership in the field of awards through young researchers and scientists at the university in various fields, and to benefit from the practical experience of recipients of prestigious awards, the University Awards Office continued its meetings in cooperation with the electronic portal, and held its fifth meeting The 40th edition of the university award recipients, which was held at the Networks and Information Technology Center at the university on August 14, 2023, under the supervision of Dr. Islam Hegazy, Executive Director of the Center for Networking and Information Technology, Prof. Rasha Ismail, Director of the Electronic Portal, Prof. Alaa Abdel Halim Farag, General Supervisor of the Awards Office at the University.

The Awards Office hosted Prof. Ejlal Ismail Muharram Helmy, Professor of Sociology at the University’s Faculty of Arts, who won the University’s Appreciation Award in the field of Social Sciences for the year 2022.

The Awards Office also hosted the researcher Hadeer Mahmoud Abdel Hafeez Gad, Assistant Lecturer in the Department of Mathematics at the Faculty of Education at the university, who received Prof. Abdel Shafi Obada’s award for the best master’s thesis in the field of applied mathematics, which was granted by the Egyptian Mathematics Association at the level of Egyptian universities for the year 2023, of which four international research papers were published, under the supervision of her teachers.

It should be noted that Prof. Ejlal has many scientific researchs locally and internationally, including nearly 20 papers, in addition to the publications of many books and chapters of a book, in addition to the scientific supervision of nearly a hundred master’s and doctoral theses, and participation in nearly 26 local, regional and international conferences, and her sovereignty has received many manifestations of scientific and national appreciation. Her Excellency is considered a social expert on many women, family, and youth issues.

Mrs. Hadeer (equally) won the award for the best master's thesis due to the importance of the thesis in terms of subject matter, handling, and applied importance, as the thesis presents an integrated picture of some dynamic issues through topological analysis, periodic solutions, and critical points.

Vibrational motion issues are also considered important and remarkable in the field of applied mathematics, especially in the movement of mechanical systems whose design includes a flexible pendulum. This is because of its many engineering applications such as pumps, movement and balance of ships, damping of installations that are exposed to ground vibrations, and the movement of robots, as well as in various fields of transport.

Both of them emphasized the prominent role played by Ain Shams University in supporting young researchers in the completion of their scientific research, as well as rewards for international publication and support for applied projects, and both of them, thanked the university administration for providing all forms of support and facilities in all aspects.

Both of their Excellencies presented a message to young researchers to incite them to attend seminars and attend international conferences to refine their scientific personalities and benefit from exchanging experiences, improving scientific research skills, and overcoming many scientific challenges facing researchers.

It is commendable that the leadership of Ain Shams University pays great attention to its youth and scholars and works to encourage them and enhance the spirit of academic excellence, innovation, and scientific research in various fields in order to achieve its comprehensive mission in achieving excellence and leadership and achieving the highest levels of excellence and competition at all scientific levels.
