The Faculty of Pharmacy concludes the activities of the comprehensive medical convoy for the people of Al-Zawiya Al-Hamra at Muhammad Farid Preparatory School for Girls

The activities of the medical convoy organized by the Faculty of Pharmacy, at Ain Shams University, concluded a comprehensive medical convoy in Zawia Al-Hamra (Mohamed Farid Preparatory School for Girls), which lasted for four days, from August 6 to August 9, under the auspices of Prof. Ghada Farouk, Acting President of Ain Shams University and Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, and Prof. Amani Osama Kamel, Dean of the Faculty, under the supervision of Prof. Rola Milad Labib, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy for Community Service and Environmental Development, in coordination with Cairo Governorate and Al-Zawiya Al-Hamra neighborhood under the chairmanship of Major General Staff Officer Abdullah Al-Deeb, and in cooperation with the Faculty of Medicine, Dentistry, and Nursing.

         
   
         

Where the convoy included medical clinics for all specialties, as well as dentistry, in addition to measuring pressure and diabetes for patients, in addition to a charitable pharmacy to provide medicines for free.

The convoy also included awareness seminars for the people of the neighborhood in the field of women's and family health, as well as pediatrics. Lectures are also given to children on ways to prevent diseases and personal hygiene, which a number of faculty staff and teaching assistants, and some undergraduate students, gave lectures. These convoys come to activate the role of the faculty in providing medical services to patients from the families most in need of care and to facilitate them, as detection, diagnosis, analysis, and awareness for all age groups were carried out, and treatment was distributed free of charge to all patients.

         
   
         

The convoy witnessed a large turnout of citizens, as the number of people attending medical clinics reached 3,570, and their distribution was as follows:

Analyzes were also conducted for 646 citizens, and awareness campaigns were attended by 1,513 citizens.
