In cooperation with the electronic portal… The University Awards Office meets in its 43rd meeting with young researchers at the university, recipients of the Egyptian Society of Cardiology awards for the year 2023
Based on Ain Shams University's keenness to achieve excellence and competition, and as a continuation of Ain Shams University's leadership in the field of awards through young researchers at the university in various fields, and to benefit from the practical experience of recipients of prestigious awards, the University Awards Office continued its meetings and held its forty-third meeting for recipients of prestigious awards, Which was held at the Networks and Information Technology Center at the university on July 31, 2023, under the supervision of Dr. Islam Hegazy, Executive Director of the Center for Networks and Information Technology, Prof. Rasha Ismail, Director of the Electronic Portal, Prof. Alaa Abdel Halim Farag, General Supervisor of the Awards Office at the University.
The Awards Office hosted Dr. Muhammad Gamal Abdel-Zaher Khalil Al-Shawa, who won the best master’s thesis award, as well as Dr. Atef Khamis Al-Jumaili, for obtaining the second best doctoral dissertation, in addition to both of them winning the Egyptian Society of Cardiology Cup, which is one of the leading associations in the field of specializing in heart diseases.

It is worth noting that Dr. Muhammad Jamal Shawa obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Medicine and Surgery from the University’s Faculty of Medicine in 2018, and obtained a Master’s degree at the university in the specialty of heart and blood vessels in the year 2023.
His Excellency won the award for the best master's thesis from the Egyptian Society of Cardiology due to the importance of the thesis in terms of subject matter, handling, and its practical importance, which was entitled Comparison between ticagrelor and clopidogrel in diabetic patients who suffer from myocardial infarction in terms of blood flow in the coronary arteries and risk Bleeding in the short term. The thesis was conducted on patients attending Ain Shams University Hospitals.
It should also be noted that Dr. Atef Khamis Al-Jumaei has obtained a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery from Ain Shams University, as well as a master's degree and a doctorate from Ain Shams University in the specialty of cardiovascular diseases. The topic of his doctoral dissertation was published in one of the international medical journals in the year 2023, as the subject of the thesis Serves the Egyptian community and heart patients in the Arab Republic of Egypt.

Both of them stressed the prominent role played by Ain Shams University in supporting young researchers in the completion of scientific research and encouraging international publishing, and they expressed their sincere thanks to the university administration and the deputies for providing all forms of support and facilities, in addition to supporting participation in conferences, equipping research laboratories, and overcoming all the difficulties facing researchers to achieve excellence.
Each of them sent an important message to the university's youth who specialize in scientific research, as they emphasized the importance of patience and continuous work in self-development and the necessity of teamwork and commitment to accuracy to achieve excellence in the fields of specialization, as well as interest in applied research that serves the community, especially in the medical field, as well as continuing to learn and communicate with specialized professors and benefit from their experiences. Both of them indicated the need to continue to encourage researchers and support scientific research to contribute to improving the university's classification and increasing its influence at the national and global levels.
