During the meeting Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Metini deepened the cultural ties linking the two countries, stressing that Ain Shams University has taken effective steps in the care and support of students from different nationalities in order to expand the base of international partnerships with various universities in the world.
For his part, Ambassador Toral Razayev expressed his country's desire to launch an Azerbaijani cultural center in Cairo in cooperation with Ain Shams University, pointing out the keenness to benefit from the expertise and cadres possessed by Ain Shams University as one of the oldest and most ancient Egyptian and African universities.
The two sides also discussed aspects of benefiting from the disciplines of oil, science and arts in Azerbaijan. The Azerbaijani Ambassador also reviewed the scientific and research capabilities in Azerbaijan, where there are 16 public universities and 22 independent universities. Baku University is the mother university and was founded in 1919.
At the end of the meeting, the President of Ain Shams University presented the university shield to the Ambassador of Azerbaijan.
