The activities of a symposium entitled “Egyptian Women: An Immortal History of Patriotism” at the Faculty of Agriculture

The Faculty of Agriculture, Ain Shams University, in partnership with the National Council for Women, Cairo branch, organized a "symposium entitled: Egyptian women, an immortal history of patriotism", in the presence of Prof. Ahmed Galal Al-Sayed, Dean of the Faculty, Prof. Hesham Mohsen Al-Hariri, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs, under the supervision of Prof. Maha Marawan, Rapporteur of the National Council for Women - Cairo Branch, and the symposium was moderated by Prof. Rokaya Shalabi, alternate rapporteur of the National Council for Women - Cairo Branch.

During the seminar: Dr. Siham Gebril, member of the National Council for Women and rapporteur of the Governorates Committee of the National Council for Women, Ms. Hamida Abdel Moneim, Editorial Director of the Republic and a member of the Governorates Committee of the National Council for Women gave a speech.

The celebration includes a number of activities, including lectures and an exhibition of North Sinai products, where the National Council for Women, Cairo branch, Faculty of Agriculture, Ain Shams University, participated in a "symposium entitled: Egyptian women, an immortal history of patriotism" during the glorious July 23 celebration, which has passed 71 years, but it is still Stuck in our minds to remind us of the struggle of generations of our people who had a blazing thought and vision for the future and a people that do not accept humiliation or indignity, and both men and women contributed shoulder to shoulder and hand in hand demanding colonialism to leave and their priority in preserving and protecting the homeland.

The new republic is nothing but the production of an unprecedented phase in the history of Egypt in terms of challenges and difficulties, and our role is to educate the youth and the next new generation of the importance of support and advocacy to preserve our country.

The generations that lived through the July 23 revolution are fortunate because they have achieved gains in all fields, and talking about women’s gains after the revolution forever is very difficult, because the gains are innumerable and one of the most important gains was the education of women, which led to their empowerment and they became occupying prominent and important positions within society. Egyptian.

Some prominent models in society after the July 23 revolution: "Minister Hekmat Abu Zeid," she was the first Egyptian female minister after the revolution, and was chosen by the leader Gamal Abdel Nasser for social affairs, and through her, the social life of women was improved through projects such as the Productive Families Project, the Rural Women Pioneers Project, and the Rural Women's Advancement Project in addition to educating and training women and qualifying them for the labor market.

After 4 years of the revolution, Rawia Attia was the first woman to participate in the elections and was called the mother of the martyred fighters. level of Egypt and the Arab world.

After the departure of the writer, Fikri Abaza, Amina Al-Saeed assumed the editor-in-chief of Al-Musawwar magazine, and she was the first elected member of the Council of the Journalists Syndicate.
